Dutch DJ and producer DJ Tjizza has quickly become a firm Trommel favourite. It's hard to believe that before the pandemic, the Mood Waves label boss had only two solo releases and one co-run label, LowMoneyMusicLove. As dance floors open up, the Berlin-based artist  emerges from the past 15 months with another three releases and two labels under his belt - including Conceptual Moods.

As showcased in the label's debut, DJ Tjizza showcased his inner-romantic with his charming melody and new wave-inspired bassline. “Mondo Nuovo” is a trilogy concept by Venetian born artist Simone de Kunovich. 

It is the story of an exploration into an imaginary remote area of our planet, an exotic place where Nature is still uncontaminated, answering only to its own logic. 

Following the first chapter on Superconscious Records, Simone de Kunovich takes us on a journey amongst peaceful native tribes (“Cerchio Magico”), obscure esoteric rituals (“Serpiente Cosmica”), psychedelic delusions (“Paradiso delle Sabbie Mobili”) and breathtaking discoveries (“As I Was Moving Ahead..”) 

Once again the project has been inspired by his Cinema studies, which were focused mainly on 70s World movies by the likes of Herzog and Jodorowski - “Mondo Nuovo” is an intricate and rich opera of sampling and layering, capable of connecting bits from obscure Italian libraries, vocal shots by the G-Man of “Half Life” and monologues from Louis Malle’s 1981 cult movie “My Dinner With Andre”.

Andrea Salvaggio already fell in love with music as a kid, which ultimately led to DJing becoming his greatest passion. His hunger for record collecting started in 2015 and since then any possible place where you can find records, whether physical or online, he spends most of his time.
The genres he is attracted to are many, ranging from house music with catchy grooves to electronic. His sound can also vary from electro breaks to techno and acid. Creating a unique blend between new and old records is his goal, as he believes that his music is not defined by the era, but rather the flow.
You immediately understand the irrepressible love for what he does, as he is always playing with a big smile on his face.

After a brief hiatus, London’s Miriam return with Maerc’s debut effort, the ‘Innershade’ EP. The four track offering is complete with two original tracks and a pair of Oskar Offermann remixes to accompany the impressive first outing for the Italian producer. 

The EP’s title track opens up the flip side. Maerc’s ‘Innershade’ employs textured, deep grooves on the low end with sub-oceanic synth work leading the track’s danceable rhythm. Completing the release, again we have one of Offenbach’s proudest sons providing his imitable interpretation for the EP’s closing stanza. Big drums drive Offermann’s ‘Tribal Mix’ with a prime Green Velvet-eqsue dose of acid squelching atop creating an altogether tension-ridden peak time head spinner to wrap of Miriam’s fifth release.

‘Mindless Dance’ is a catchy tune with a deep seductive laidback atmosphere overhung by a pumping house beat to keep the audience sexy. ‘Nixie’s Trap’ takes the pressure up a notch with class, its deep tones and regular twists are sure to keep any dance floor hot at any time.

On the B-side, IDL, half of the duo, takes the controls with even different flavors to spice up this EP. Breaking the rhythm, ‘Spacetime’ shakes the heads and mixes the emotions by alternating between mellowness and energy.

Finally ‘Day 55’ closes this first chapter with a deep and mysterious approach. Screaming acid and soft pads that will make you close your eyes and dive into intense reflections.
