Story:
June 2024 is when I decided to fully dedicate myself to music, along with a dear friend of mine; it took us 5 months to finish and finally release out to the public our first original song; I was disappointed with the publicity it got, but did I expect to wake up the day after with the song getting thousands of views? No, especially given how we had no fanbase nor was the song perfect per say.
I tried my best to give it as much publicity as I could, so did my friend, in the end it got a few eyes here and there, it got positive feedback for the most part, but nothing else other than that; humble beginnings, so it was normal.
Writing the next song my friend just seemed to me to have lost motivation, happens to everyone, again, it's a normal thing; but it felt like the weight of the song suddenly fell into my hands, I guess it was partly my fault, I did say it addressed themes that directly are taken from my own experiences and that I wanted to sing alone, or shall I say rap, this one song; at the time my friend, who was responsible for the beat production; wasn't quite so happy about it, but he did suggest to start my own channel, which I was hesitant at first.
That one song ended up being quite successful I might say, and to make up for my friend, for the next song I split the lyrics 50/50.
At that point due to some personal things in his life and what I feel like it's also a lack of motivation, he wasn't working as much and due to some issues in our friendship, which I won't directly state here, I actually considered becoming an independent artist.

Meanwhile in my personal life, the feeling of responsibility and adulthood struck me harder and harder as I approached 18 years of age, I'm close to finishing high school, I cannot find a job because of my somewhat strict routine and lack of experiences, and my parents want me to pursue a medical university; in which I have no interested in, nor university in general, my parents cannot force me neither; given my passions and goals in life, for me a high school diploma is more than enough.
But I know that I must start doing something for my goals; all these years I had fantasies about them, but acted only once or twice; the pressures of the school I went to previously held me back, and the little free time I had, I didn't do anything; my life was just wake up, go to school, come home, eat, homework and sleep; I didn't know any better, and now that I'm adult, I'm just furious I wasted those years as a teen like that, I though I'm not fully out of my teenage phase yet, I got 2 handy years left to make myself up for it.

Context of the song:
When I was writing the song I had many doubts in my mind, not about the song itself, but mostly about my life and the direction is going, I was unmotivated, but also knew I couldn't just give up, no sir; I had no specific direction for the song or the album in which the song is part of, perhaps it'll be a bunch of catchy phrases and lyrics, I didn't know; that's when it came to me the idea, why not write about my life? it'll also be an excellent way to steam off some frustration I figure.

T.A.L, the title of the song, is an abbreviation of my name, "Talib".
