Our first Dispatch main label release of the year, Mako takes us into the next century, following the Dispatch 100 album with an aptly name release – ‘The 101 EP’.

Leading on from his ‘Back To The Source EP’ in 2014, Mako has been a huge favourite of ours, effortlessly engulfing everything we love about the past and the present, with a distinctive ability to create raw, incredibly authentic music, with a vibe that hits the emotions just as sweetly as the bottom end pressure hits your chest. 

At the helm, the EP is led by a mighty track, in ‘The Mercenary’ alongside Andy Skopes, having caused some serious damage since its inception, littered by tough breaks and searing lows. An endemic character of Mako’s music and the rugged beats continue right through the release, including the serene amen journey ‘Looking Back’ and the super tight drum programming of ‘A Break From Suspension’.

Commencing our next chapter in style, Mako brilliantly illustrates his agenda for the future, paying mutual homage to the old skool, whilst pushing the limits our technology today.

Foundation X is proud to present the eagerly awaited first full 12” EP from Djinn; four deadly jungle tracks that display exactly why the female Mancunian artist has become an integral part of the FDX family. Djinn's ability to weave together dark atmospherics and rumbling subs with the toughest breakwork and is second to none; with a heavy nod to the 90’s sound, satisfying both the dance and underground breakbeat science enthusiasts  . . .  


NINE GROUNDS – Haunting deep intro pads build to a tectonic 10 tonne drop of militant switching breaks featuring detailed edits and soundclash vocals sitting over a sweeping sub-low bassline reminiscent of a moody ’95 rave.  

DESTRUCTIVE CONSEQUENCE – Off-key notes & a rolling break build the vibes deceptively tame over subtle sub-zero bass throughout, pausing for a dark cinematic breakdown before signing off with a rollout of heavyweight raw amenism. 

DARK REFERENCE – Diced up stepping breaks laced with Mentasms layered over building atmospherics & deep FX progressing through to a devastating drop of dark chords teased with heavy amen cuts and suspended strings. 

PRESSURE – Finally committed to wax! Long awaited track ‘Pressure’ closes the E.P.'s deadly theme, progressing with sinister harmonies before reaching critical levels & maintaining heavy, relentless drumwork fully to the end.

Melting Pot newcomers Brain & Novaglitch take us on a journey of creeping basslines, crisp beats and hypnotic synthwork with their aptly named "Dream" EP.

With one foot in the past, clearly drawing their influences from the millennial sounds of Cause 4 Concern, Bulletproof and Matrix to name but a few, the Colombian duo grace us with 4 slices of sinuous and rolling tech funk.

A cool and well executed nod to this classic era that still sounds so relevant today.

One of the most exciting things happening right now in the Drum & Bass scene is the talent that goes by the name of 'SubMarine'. Those following Selects have already encountered the name and we're very chuffed to see the return of the man with his 'Shamane EP' which highlights the great variety in his music. From the tribal 'Shamane' to the cinematic 'Backshift' the cologne based producer knows exactly what he's doing behind the buttons and offers us four killer cuts for your listening pleasure.
