Machine is a club night championing new & upcoming techno, founded in 2011 by UK techno heavyweights Ben Sims & Kirk Degiorgio.
 
Since it’s inception the guys have hosted 6 parties in London as well as editions at El Row Barcelona, Fabrik Madrid, Trouw Amsterdam, Berghain Berlin and more; Machine has set a precedent for booking only high quality and forward thinking guests - such as Robert Hood, Surgeon, Kevin Saunderson, Rolando, Adam X, Untold, A Made Up Sound, Luke Slater, Oscar Mulero, James Ruskin and many more, encouraging all to break away from their comfort zones to follow the Machine theme of new and unreleased music, with stunning results. 
  
This September, Machine presents a very special lineup – 2 rooms, 4 DJs, each playing an long sets over Corsica Studio’s famous Funktion-1 rigs.
 
Joining Ben & Kirk are 2 of their current fave party rockers… RØDHÅD has made a name for himself as one of Berlin’s most forward thinking DJs. His reputation is of playing seamless sets of Techno & House - while keeping the mood deep and powerful. His recent Boiler Room set is regarded as one of the best shows in the series yet. ROD is an alias of Rotterdam based House stalwart Benny Rodrigues, famed for his peak time sets that see him drop everything from jacking Chicago House to Detroit machine funking Techno plus hosting a series of ROD NACHT events where he plays all night long. As an recording artist he has contributed to Ben Klock's Klockwork label, Chris Liebings CLR, Adam Beyers Drumcode and Slams Soma, so it's fair to say he's certainly a DJs favourite with his studio work too. 
 
Machine resident & curator Ben Sims plays a very special extended DJ set after the UK debut of his live set at the July party. Known for his intensity and dextrous skill on the decks, he has built a deserved reputation as one of the UK’s most in-demand and respected techno producer and DJs. 
 
Fellow Machine resident and co-founder Kirk Degiorgio completes the lineup. With decades of experience in the UK scene, Kirk is commonly acknowledged as the first high-profile DJ to move completely to using Ableton and in September he'll be digitally dropping a 4 hour set of new Techno, featuring a wealth of upcoming material from his ART label and of course forthcoming gems from the man himself.

<p>Continuing in the fine tradition of stomping grooves, I am extra excited to unveil the second instalment of the AGILITY Various Artists Compilation series. Fabian Argomedo kicks things off with classy shuffling and gigantic subs, later allowing a disjointed soulful vocal to spice things up. Rafa Barrios&#8217; picks up from there with some intense rollage and smooth bass, and &#8220;Yacid&#8221; from Ramiro Lopez holds things down with a mighty rhythm section and busy snare edits.<br />
&nbsp; Things take a completely different turn with &#8220;Trauma&#8221;, where a rubber-band bass permeates the thick atmospherics and intricately programmed elements.&nbsp; Sean Collier adds some welcomed bleakness to the package which leads to Juan Ddd&#8217;s cheekily titled &#8220;Dead In My Garden&#8221;, bringing the dizzyness from the ever-fluctuating bassline.</p>

French connection brings us aurally gifted Marwan Sabb, Ilan Nicciani and Ange Siddhar, a sound engineer, who devoted himself to the underground. DJ who is now very involved in the scene, and is known as one of the most prolific Parisian producers.
Aurally gifted, Marwan Sabb began into a very classical register in playing piano. He has always been interested in melody and rhythm.
He built his music culture by listening to classic music and admiring classical prodigies like Mozart or Bach. 
Piano is today in his heart and it is still inspiring him a lot in his work.
After two years of mixing in private events without drawing attention, he finally has been pointed out in 2010 during the official electronic Rave On festival in Annecy by doing the talented and beautiful Nina Kraviz's warm up .
From that moment, his career began... 
He met Stephane Lando (Clarisse Records) who took him under his wing and launched his career.
For 2 years, he had that opportunity to play during the Miniboom parties which have hosted djs such as Mendo & Lee Van Dowski from Cadenza, Nick Curly, Pleasurekraft, Oxia, Dyed Soundorom, Anthony Collins, Delicious, David Herrero, Hermanez, Kiko, JP Chronic, Kiko, JP Chronic, Kiki, Timid Boy, Reas, Jihell, Jean C Dric, Lilith and many more...!
3 years of experience and artistic exchanges, Marwan Sabb has found his own style. he has a terrific music identity, which is truly loved by the audience.
In 2013 he was the resident DJ of the biggest after club parties in Paris.
In 2013/2014 , he started in Paris his own events called « Insomnia » which were a great success. He invited djs such as Timid Boy, Italoboyz, Mendo, Lando but also Anthea.
Marwan has launched his first EP "UPPER" March 2013 in collaboration with the international french dj and founder of label Time has changed records, Timid Boy. His EP was supported by the greatest djs out there from Marco Carola , Richie Hawtin to Dubfire, to name few. 
Weeks ago, he did a remarkable set just before Barem, Matador, Marc Houle and Matthias Tanzmann at the "Black Room" which is the Marvellous Island festival's main room.
Marwan Sabb just came back from Organic festival in Croatia were he played beside Oxia , Adriatique & Mendo.
Today he is resident for the 'Fantaisie' parties at Yoyo - Palais de Tokyo where he played beside dj guests like Reboot, Shonky and Yaya.
He is working on his new EP which will be available at the end of the year…Keep your ears sharp!

Ilan Nicciani from the new generation of French producers. A passionate of music since a young age. 
At 18 he discovered House Music in all it splendour in Ibiza, and a passion was born. He releases his first LP “El Regalo”. At that same year he meet Ange Siddhar, with whom he did (and continues to do) various tracks and remixes. 
2012 was a turning point, he moves to Paris where he inserted the underground club scene. His sound evolved to a dark and serious Deep-Techno. Clubbing TV took notice of him and realized a piece about him. Being a very prolific producer Illan Nicciani releases numerous EPs and remixes. 
His release “Crackle” signed on Deep Tech Records reached #11 on Beatport Minimal. He already shared the line up with Oliver Huntemann, Monika Kruse and Mathias Kaden among others.'
Ange Siddhar, a sound engineer, devotes himself to the underground electronic scene. Playing every week in numerous clubs in Paris, the young DJ is now very involved in the Deep and Techno scene, and is known as one of the most prolific studio producers of the French capital.
Quickly growing his reputation on the French scene, he is noticed by Clubbing TV, a new broadcast channel dedicated to the club culture. The TV channel names him art director, allowing him to travel all around the world (Ibiza, Miami, San Salvador of Bahia, New Delhi) and to participate to the biggest parties.
Still producing actively, his Deep Tech and House tracks bring him a strong credibility. He now works as art director of Laboratory Records with the big names of the electronic music like Ron Costa, Oscar Cano & Wally Lopez. He remixes Ron Carroll on "The Sermon ", Paul Johnson, Benedetto and Farina, Chris Count and Kolombo. On the other hand, Da Fresh, Jesus Soblechero, Ben Delay and Joss Moog remixed some of his tracks.

Elusionism - Noughts & Crosses (Feat. Sutton Althisar)

We are honored to release 'Dualism', the sophomore E.P. from contemporary Montreal-based duo, Solitary Dancer. They released an eponymously titled debut E.P. on Midland's label Graded in late 2016 after their track ‘Desire & Apathy’ was featured in his Essential Mix. They are known for their elegant, richly-sculpted sound design and knack for propulsive club rhythms that eschew rigid 4/4 drum patterns.

‘Dualism’ opens with “Anything”, equal parts Drexciya and Dopplereffekt — full of low-end bass stabs, blipping synths; swelling and washing to a cinematic close. For the first time on a Solitary Dancer record, vocals make an appearance in the guise of a male companion who’s lamenting a lost lover. “Losing Touch” takes a classic electro beat, and through the use of elegiac pad washes, distorted bass and menacing vocals, morphs into persistently engaging shapes. The B-side's "Emails 2 Myself" is a suspenseful corralling of intriguing sonic elements. Its fractured 707 beats combine with melancholic strings and features vocals by Marie Davidson, another core member of Montreal's creative electronic scene. “I can’t turn off my brain”, she delivers with deadpan accuracy about head games in the age of computer communication, before harmonizing octaves into majestic elegance. Also included is the instrumental version of “Emails”, accentuating the bass drum, snare, hi-hat and melodic synth tones, sailing into the subdued evening sun of the future. 

All songs have been mastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The record is housed in a custom made jacket designed by Eloise Leigh, featuring photographs by Scott Pilgrim, which explores themes of duality— an individual looking into a mirror, conjuring the image of a mannequin. A juxtaposition highlighting the ideal as the female self. Each copy includes a double-sided postcard with notes.
