One of the first mixtapes I recorded after a 20-year break (1993-2013), posted for posterity. 

I went by DJ alt.rock for a few years as a tongue-in-cheek diss at lazy rock & roll radio program directors “discovering” '90s alternative rock in the late aughts. DJ alt.rock was also a nod to early rap names that usually contained either "rock" or "ski"… Never in a million years did I imagine that the prefix "alt-" would be so drastically ruined by a former reality TV clown, but that's exactly what happened in 2016… I've done my best to clear that name from as many mixes and artwork as possible, but some sets have so many alt.rock DJ-drops in them that I've opted to just post this notice and keep it moving. From now on, I'm using my first name, because nobody can mess it up (other than myself).

IT'S HARD

I recorded this mix featuring edits by Casual Connection, Luxxury, Alfa Flite, Dr. Packer, Pete Le Freq, starRo, Duncan Gerow, and The Reflex, but wasn't totally happy with it so I decided to destroy it with a plugin that sounds like an old chewed-up Type I cassette. It still bumps.

Always show respect to the edit man or woman, these remix artists have pretty active Soundclouds and Bandcamps if anything catches your fancy.
