ESITU Records - Fragments - Live at Effusions Festival

This live was recorded the 2 september 2018 during the "Effusions" festival. It features 3 protagonists of Esitu Records : Jean Mengual, Gregoire Houcke and Adrien Vullo.

This festival hosts artists from several horizons (dance, theatre, musique,..) for a 3 week residency in an amazing location in France, in order to work and produce an inedit show during the fest.

ESITU collective decided to record pieces of sound throughout their residency at "Les Effusions" Festival.
The sound material is the starting point for the live development. Mixed up with other types of content (hardware, samples taken live from records, ...) the aim is to recreate and reinterpret the soundscape of the location and the residency.

Sounds are appearing scattered, blurry, like when searching in the brain to try and remember old memories, which, at some point, will come up bright and clear.

- Fragments - Live at Coudenberg, Brussels

This live was recorded the 11th October 2018 during the BEM festival. It features Jean Mengual, Gregoire Houcke, Adrien Vullo and Jeremy Bocquet.

The Coudenberg Palace is an amazing location, witness of old Brussels and its transformations. For this venue we decided to record special pieces of sound of several rooms of the Coudenberg with traditional instruments acting as diapasons. As usual in the "Fragments" project, this pieces of sound became the starting point for the live development. Mixed up with other types of contents (modular, samples taken live from vinyls...) the aim is to recreate and reinterpret the soundscape of the location.

Sounds are appearing scattered, blurry, like when searching in the brain to try and remember old memories, which, at some point, will come up bright and clear.

Fragments @ Gulbenkian Museum, Lisboa. .

An immersive trip through the museum and his garden.

This live was recorded the 31th January 2019. It features Jean Mengual, Gregoire Houcke, Adrien Vullo and Jeremy Bocquet.

The Gulbenkian museum is a static and strong Modernist building implanted in a rich and living garden. We decided to records pieces of sounds in the open garden and in the silent rooms of the building. As usual in the "Fragments" project, this pieces of sound became the starting point for the live development. Mixed up with other types of contents (synth, modular, samples taken live from vinyls) the aim is to recreate and reinterpret the soundscape of the location.
