Creatively, it was hard to get anything done. But now that we're back, I've got passion and drive like I've never had before. Releasing this mixtape feels like the beginning of a brand new Slynk. Reborn. Slynk 2.0. Unlike the movie "Attack Of The Clones" this sequel is going to be way better than the first movie. It's gunna be more like "Back To The Future 2".

"10 years of Bliss Coast and the journey goes on. Each year has been a monumental effort and my long-term goal to achieve 10 volumes comes to completion with the release of Muse & Marvel. Over the years many fans have told me how much they still love volume 1, Grass & Gospel. So to round out the series I decided to revisit the year one theme and produce another set of bluegrass and gospel songs refreshed for the festival dancefloor and maximum smiles. It was such a pleasure to perform this along side my biggest supporter and wife Rebecca. Thanks to everyone who joined us for that wonderful experience and to everyone beyond listening now. JPOD Live at Bass Coast 2023 - Bliss Coast 10: Muse and Marvel

The pandemic was pretty challenging for everyone, I found myself without any source of income and decided to switch careers to survive. Our country took 2 years before it legally allowed DJs to perform again. I re-entered the world of nightlife feeling almost like I had just become a DJ in recent times. It's taken me 1 1/2 years to find my footing, find what's relevant, and again adjust myself to a state of being that I am comfortable with.

Coming from Malaysia, we are always a few steps behind, so it takes a lot of digging to figure out what's happening in spaces around the world, that appeal to people like me, usually dark and filled with smoke :)

It's not my ultra best, but it's 4 hours, recorded live in a club, with humans coming up to me with kisses, hugs, love, requests, all while I dust off my rusty fingers at three CDJS - oh, and having to change batteries on my trusty ZOOM recorder. haha.
