Sounds From NoWhere is pleased to premiere an extract of the new Codex Empire' LP on 'aufnahme + wiedergabe'.
Since 2014, Codex Empire has built an international reputation for dark and intense techno productions and live shows.
Mahk Rumbae - the British born, Vienna based producer behind Codex Empire - has been creating challenging experimental electronic music for over 25 years working as one half of industrial/experimental band Konstruktivists as well as a number of varied solo and side-projects.
After releasing several well received EPs on aufnahme + wiedergabe, Sacred Court and Khemia Records, as well as numerous remixes and appearances on V/A compilations, Codex Empire will release his full-length debut album in February 2019 on aufnahme + wiedergabe.
A dark disc in which techno and industrial sounds have a preponderant role.

Scottish duo Clouds has been turning out quality techno for more than a decade on a variety of labels (Electric Deluxe, Opal Tapes, Turbo, Soma), and their recent hardcore- and rave-tinged dispatches via the Headstrong imprint they run alongside fellow UK producer Randomer have been particularly intriguing. Now, the pair has started up another label called Maxiboy, which they describe as "a vessel for experimentation within the realms of highly functional techno." The first EP, 'Running It,' will arrive on May 27, but ahead of that we debuted the booming title track on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

WHEN MEMORY FADES

A huge time for the Research crew, as they can finally release Research 001. This has been in the works for the last 4 years and they are super excited to begin this journey with two of our favourite Irish artists.

The first release is comprised of two Irish Techno heavyweights Doug Cooney and Rustal. These guys have been releasing quality Techno for as long as we can remember and they've come through massively on this one.

FUAM is the techno alias of Tadhg Brennan and Conor Patten hailing from Dublin and Wicklow. Their name derived from the Irish word for sound, which translates to ‘Fuaim’.
With nightclubs and festivals sadly closed due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the duo turned to the studio and putting their energies into working on their productions and honing their sound, culminating with a string of releases, including a release on Italian label Insane Industry Recordings last September. Their next release is set for the 18th of January with their 3 track EP titled "Arrhythmia" with Parisian label Måinmise Records.
Their sound consists of fast past paced, synth driven techno with an industrial influence, taking inspiration from producers such as Dax J, VTSS and Giant Swan to name a few.
With a 2nd EP in the works and multiple unreleased singles ready for 2021, FUAM are gearing up to make up for lost time.
