After 2 years and 6 singles Tablefox release the 7th and final single from the 'BATTLES' album. Born across the struggles of the last 2 years, 'Keep Them Guessing' is perhaps Tablefox's finest work. Filled with a swagger that twists and builds into an epic symphony of sonic guitars, emotive trumpet and the unmistakable tone of vocalist Clinton Bell. Bell had this to say on the meaning of the track "Keep them guessing is a song about the different emotional masks we wear everyday. We use these masks to gain affection, sympathy, notoriety or infamy to name a few. Everyone uses these for good and bad reasons." The band is hoping to play the album live for the first time on Feb 25th after spending almost 2 years in the top 20 of the NZ Rock Chart.

Tablefox release the first follow-up single to the album 'BATTLES'. BATTLES has spent the last 2.5 years in the Top 20 of the NZ Rock Chart, so the band knew they needed something special to return with. 'GIVE IT ALL' is a massive Alt Rock tune that weaves and sways with a heavy 3/4 stomp. Singer Clinton Bell says, "The song is about someone dealing with their 'inner voice', their inner critic' that is trying to hold them back...but their positive voice is saying "screw that!" Coming in dark and powerful, it boils away with intent before it unleashes a torrent of belief that shakes off the bubbling doubt. With hints of The Cult and Placebo the band have found a whole new energy on this latest outing - their first with new drummer Henrik Rylev. 'Give It All' is out September 9.

'Mother' is the latest track from Tablefox as they start the road to their 4th album. Mother has special meaning for vocalist Clinton Bell "The song is about what I might have said if I could have spoken to my mother before my birth. My mother was considering adoption due to the pressures of a generation not readily accepting the idea of kids outside of marriage. Thankfully she changed her mind when she saw me for the first time." The song really plays on what might have been and is something Clinton feels people might relate to.

Tablefox’s new single ‘Only a Matter of Time’ speaks to the narrative of people versus the system. Singer Clinton Bell wanted to explore the idea of how people band together in tough situations. It’s about when the power of many fight back to take on any system of oppression, persecution or exclusion.

To celebrate their 10th Anniversary, Tablefox release a special new single. It's a track that has held a fond spot in the bands live set over the last 10 years. With this Australian Crawl track Tablefox wanted to give a nod to one of their favourite writers whilst injecting the distinctive sound that has defined Tablefox.

Reckless

'Don’t Wait For Me To Be What You Want Me To Be' draws inspiration from the 1993 cult movie Falling Down. The song, led by singer Clinton Bell, delves into the complexities of human emotion, exploring the internal conflicts that everyone encounters. The song title itself hints at the central theme, conveying a message about authenticity and not conforming to others' expectations.

The influence of Falling Down is evident in the song's narrative, mirroring the movie's exploration of the struggles faced by the average person. The single confronts the darker voices that can haunt the mind, aligning with the film's themes of idealism, bravado, and the inherent flaws in humanity.

Clinton Bell, reflecting on the creative process, mentions that the band members brought a compelling melody and chords to him. The imagery from Falling Down quickly emerged, but he felt the need to infuse a thread of hope into the narrative. This addition adds a layer of optimism to the song, contrasting with the potentially bleak portrayal of internal struggles. Drawing parallels to the movie's protagonist, Bell notes that while individuals may come close to the edge of breaking, they often refrain from crossing that line, distinguishing them from the character in Falling Down.

The song was engineered by Emily Wheatcroft-Snape at Roundhead Studios, mixed by Scott Seabright (Mumford and Son's, SIX60, Passenger) & mastered by Leon Zervos (Midnight Oil, Aerosmith, INXS).

Tablefox's latest single, ‘Digging In’, dives deep into the murky waters of self-sabotage. Frontman Clinton Bell puts it bluntly: “The voices in our heads often shape our fears and beliefs.”
When lead guitarist Matt Carson dropped a killer riff, the band knew they had something special, sparking a creative fire that pushed the track into full motion. The song’s title came to Clinton instantly, the first words that crossed his mind, and from there, the concept began to crystallize. 
Blending pop, punk, and hard rock, ‘Digging In’ radiates an electrifying, raw energy—a blistering anthem that clocks in just under three minutes. Produced by the renowned Scott Seabright (Mumford and Sons, Six60, Passenger) and mastered by the iconic Steve Smart at Studio 301 (Pink Floyd, Simple Minds, The Jam), the track is as polished as it is powerful. 
Visually, the track's artwork comes courtesy of the legendary Ant Sang (The Dharma Punks, Bro’Town), bringing a raw, unmistakable edge to the release.
