🌊 Wet n Wily Woblers for yer slimiest Raves n Restrooms 💦

it's time to wobl n wave to the newest weirdo on table jelly - and it's the infamous Laundry Drum 🧐

coming bent outa acomb town, we first met suckin soggy zoots in parks and bus stops as teenage drifters (completely unaware of both each other's and our own bubbling Gender Troubles)

despite a shared young love of dub versions and hypercolour synths, we drifted apart until a mutual friend sent me a fuzzed-out minimal track from a mysterious Laundry Drum in late 2019...

she soon revealed herself to me and straight away we swapped demos, stems, and crushing mixdown notes through the pits of lockdown 

FuydaSp is the first fruit of our re-blossomed friendship and it's a Version Excursion of a track i wrote nearly two years ago with the timed demo of serum 🤸‍♀️

first up is a remastered version of the original track, before Laundry Drum strreettcchhes it out twice into the horizon of their fourth eye - 🌌 again and again 🌌

rounding out the trip is my love letter to the fun missed while the two of us were apart, and a flood of the transsexual joy obscured from us both on greyed-out northern street corners ☔🎉☔

this time we buckl up and wobl thru spirals of jealousy and doubt..

these tracks have haunted me since their first sessions nearly two years ago, when i dove deep into micro-editing to 'prove' that i could match the skills (and patience) of those i look up to. i guess it's fitting that since they were born of negativity, they still don't feel enough - but it's time to let go of the envy and share where i'm at, instead of obsessing on where i could be at :)

for fans of Actual Dance Music, Acomb's Laundry Drum returns with two dub-hyphenated remixes, casting the green eyed demons back to the depths from whence they came ⛏️

it feels scary to share these tracks, imperfect as they are (and could only ever be), but also important to be honest about some of the darker sides of life as an artist

Amongst these are the first tracks I wrote after/while getting sober mid-2021, my mind a mess of melted synapses and self-inflicted flashbacks (oop)

Summer is Dance Music Season so here are some fizzy takes on it, with inspiration from East Coast US club music, Croydon dub and our late Mother, S.X. (whose passing I was very much still processing at the time)

The music is saccharine enough so I'll cut this here - pls dive deep into the sugar rush and swallow whole the transgendered syrup mix 🫧🫧
