Dan has released music on many labels including Expel Your Demons, Flesh and Hammers, Normative, No Mercy,  Elements and many more. Dan is the founder of the new and upcoming record label and events management company Decom Records. KILL YOUR IDOLS focuses on heavy kick drums from 138bpm up to 160bpm with his productions bringing trance type melodic hard hitting techno.

D-PAR is an up & coming DJ from the North East of England. Brought up on the sounds of 90’s/2000’s trance, D-PAR was introduced to techno through the local club scene and immediately fell in love with the heavy-hitting kicks, powerful melodies and filthy acid. 

A trip to Berlin in 2019 truly opened his eyes to the harder styles of techno & dance and he delved deeper into the more underground harsh sounds of hard techno/dance, industrial and neo-rave. Labels & events such as; Possession, Intercell and Unpolished really cemented his love for the scene.

D-PAR does not limit himself to one genre and continues to play various styles of house, trance and melodic/progressive sounds.

This collaboration is dear to us for many reasons.

First, we intrinsically love fluid's music and what the artist stands for. A driving, dark, atmospheric, and everything-encompassing sound that one can get lost in. Make sure to check out the new Translating Emotions Into Waveforms EP on Bandcamp, distributed by Subverted Scene, which is a true gem. Some of the proceeds go towards fluid's top surgery. Second, we're queer, and we want to go beyond the current struggle of being accepted but promote true equality. Coming from the scientific community and being neuropsychologists, we know that for equal treatment, it does-not-fucking matter what sex you're born with or what gender you identify with. Inequality is a social construct imposed by individuals. We're sick and tired of this discussion and work towards a world where everyone is treated equally and not based on arbitrary societal norms. We made a conscious decision not to be a queer only project for that specific reason. Instead, our aim is to treat music and artists based on merit, resulting in a healthy mix of people from various backgrounds.

A massive thanks to fluid for this beautiful and mesmerising set. We look forward to future collaborations and wish you all the best with the surgery. 😊
