Presenting D’Cypher – the UK based up & coming talent makes his debut on Counterpoint Recordings, as he headlines a solo EP for the label’s 25th output and joins our core artist team.

As far as rapid rising talent stories go, D’Cypher is so far on a truly golden path. Taking time to perfect his craft before sending music out to labels really paid off, as 2019 saw him release his first ever music, followed by back-to-back solo EP’s since then. Championing a deep techy and uncompromisingly rolling production style, he now delivers his interpretation of the Counterpoint Bassline Groove.

His ‘Off The Wall’ EP is 4-track rolling goodness, providing a take into different gears of his sound, and what he will be bringing to our catalogue over coming years.

Geostatic is back on Transparent Audio sooner than you thought! Smashing the Beatport Chart with his Top Ten ‘Bad Prophecy EP’ last month, the Austrian producer proves he is a powerhouse behind the buttons, showcasing another deep minimal roller entitled ‘Perception’.

Philipp aka Geostatic hailing from Graz, Austria had his first contact with the lower frequency spectrum back in 2010 when his older brother introduced him to the genre. Instantly it was clear that electronic music would play a huge role in his life from then on. A few years later at the Urban Arts Festival his path was made even clearer after hearing the sounds of Alix Perez, Chase & Status and many more. The experience led to discovering new artists and sub-genres within the scene, which developed a new found hobby we all know and love – Djing. It took him several years to master his style and sound which he is known for today, deep minimalistic sonics, stripped back drums to melancholic vibes. Geostatic has seen huge support over the past year with releases under this belt from Delta 9, EKOU and Forbidden Frequencies, you lot aren’t ready for what we have planned for the future!

Deep Within Recordings ignites their launch with a massive thirteen track compilation album, already setting a standard for the brand-new imprint in a way which many new labels won’t be able to match.

Pushing through only the most cutting edge up and comers from Austria, the UK and Luxembourg, this forthcoming album showcases exactly what this label has to offer the contemporary drum & bass scene.

Packed with hotly tipped names such as Hexa, Mofes, Kidsonic and Envy, three tracks featured have already seen support from the likes of Noisia via their radio show as well as a wide range of DJ spins, with the Deep Within Recordings sound already infecting club spaces throughout Europe.

En:vy’s ‘Exile’ is the first track to take centre stage and it features sweeping levels of white noise which suddenly cuts out to leave you fully enveloped within its percussive segments. ‘Mars’ by Half Ace then rolls through with a more sci-fi inspired intro, one which develops into weighty levels of sub bass and tapping hi-hats. Hexa’s ‘Solitude’ brings through the more stripped back levels which he’s become well known for, without losing any of its desired impact. Then Jak’s ‘Apothic’ follows suit, just as cutting amongst its crashing drum sequences. Kidsonic’s ‘Gunman’ features an immersive soundscape, whilst ‘Orders’ from Master Error concentrates on its pumping kicks. ‘You’ll Never Know’ from M:FX continues the ruminating vibes, meanwhile Mofes ’Panthalassa’ features switches which keep you on edge. ‘Duplex’ from Nysn, Offline’s ‘Infamous’, Sedax’s ‘Subframe’ and ‘Trainride’ from collaborative duo Sequent & Skruff each hammer home the signature sound of Deep Within Recordings, whilst doing so with their own twists. Then finally, Teej & Division pull the LP to a close, with an amalgamation of driving drums and a bassline which takes you out into the murkier depths.

As a package, the first release from Deep Within Recordings lets you know what they’re about. With more scheduled for 2020, the imprint is looking to quickly elevate itself to a position that most labels have spent years trying to reach.
