Jo Kazan, a French DJ and producer now based in Barcelona, is the founder of RetroFuture events and Kazanova Club, as well as the Label Manager of Cabana Libre Records. Jo’s sound masterfully blends our favorite elements: Italo, Trance, and Dark Disco.

VLTN007 Blazing Freedom EP delivers a high-energy Italo trance anthem with an infectious vocal. The title track is paired with an emotional signature piece by Jo, complemented by three top remixes from CLOSE PROXIMITY, Amarcord, and Louis de Tomaso.

CLOSE PROXIMITY brings a fresh perspective to Blazing Freedom, stepping away from the Italo sound to deliver a 90s-inspired progressive masterpiece. With lush, atmospheric pad work and sharp, distant stabs, this track has all the makings of a serious dancefloor weapon!

What more can be said about the talented Italian artist Amarcord? Everything he touches transforms into pure Italo gold. With his signature emotive basslines and beautiful melody and rhythms, this remix is yet another stunning reinterpretation of Jo’s original track, Blazing Freedom.

Louis has infused his remix of Nocturnal Rush with distinctive melodic euphoria, staying true to his signature style. Once again, he has delivered an outstanding reinterpretation of Jo’s original. This beautiful Italo trance track is already resonating as a dance floor favorite.

Blavatsky & Tolley, two seasoned UK producers, have returned to NEIN Records with a brand-new stunning single. Known for their full-of-influence releases on labels like When Disco Goes Wrong and NEIN itself, their collaboration continues to impress. The result of their latest team effort, "Falling", is a masterful homage to the legendary KLF's classic "What Time Is Love?", capturing the essence of its inspiration while delivering a fresh, contemporary sound. The track pulsates with hypnotic beats and an infectious melody, weaving in the iconic elements that made KLF's original a timeless gem. Ancient Japanese spirits meet contemporary electronic music in “Yokai Parade EP”, a mystical collaboration between Italian producer Volantis and Japanese artist Hiroko. Inspired by a psychedelic experience in Kobe where train sounds summoned supernatural visitors, this four-track journey merges folklore with modern dance music through a unique blend of hardware synthesis and haunting vocals.

The title track "Yokai Parade" leads listeners into a shadowy realm where Hiroko's Italian narration intertwines with Japanese train announcements, calling forth ancient spirits. Eden Burns transforms this nocturnal tale into a hypnotic, percussion-driven remix that deepens its ceremonial essence.

On "La Kappa”, Hiroko embodies a playful water spirit, her accented Italian dancing over dreamlike sequences. Fabrizio Mammarella's Italorama Version injects classic Italo disco energy, creating a perfect bridge between Japanese mythology and Mediterranean dance floors.

Co-produced with Niccolò Barozzi, this vinyl and digital release captures a unique moment where East meets West, and traditional folklore dissolves into electronic rhythms.

Paris-based producer Mattyuzalem makes his debut on Spain’s rising & shining label Burning Synths with “Italo France,” a vibrant five-track EP blending nostalgic and contemporary electronic flavours. The release showcases the artist’s knack for merging retro Italo Disco motifs with modern French House sensibilities, anchored by driving basslines and shimmering synth work. Alongside Mattyuzalem’s original productions, the parcel includes dynamic remixes from Alphanova and Roglar, offering fresh perspectives on the source material. With its cross-border sonic palette and collaborative spirit, “Italo France” solidifies both the artist and label as ones to watch in the global dance circuit.

The standout moment arrives with Roglar’s rework of “Rain Man,” a track whose title may nod to Barry Levinson’s 1988 cinematic classic. While the original leans into shadowy but upbeat Progressive House grooves, Roglar catapults the track into a neon-lit, Italo-meets-Trance dimension.
