NICORA – Opening Set for Aname @ Port Beach Brewery, Fremantle

On 15 June, I had the pleasure of opening the day at Port Beach Brewery in Fremantle, before the Anjunadeep duo Anamē took over the decks.

This live set was crafted to set the tone – a smooth build-up of organic grooves, emotional textures and deep, progressive energy to ease into the day.

Luca Nicora aka NICORA is a Progressive House DJ born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Growing up in a city filled with diverse sounds, he developed a deep connection with electronic music, drawn to the hypnotic and evolving nature of Progressive House. His sets are crafted as journeys, seamlessly blending organic textures, deep grooves, and cosmic atmospheres.

Now based in Fremantle, Western Australia, NICORA is making his mark on the local scene. He has played at festivals such as Lost In Between and Meliora and had the honor of supporting international artists like Guy Mantzur, Kamilo Sanclemente, Hicky & Kalo, Aname.

Music is about storytelling—building energy, emotion, and connection through sound. With an ever-evolving approach, he continues to explore and shape his path in the Progressive House movement.

Con dos décadas de experiencia musical, la carrera de Javier Rodríguez comenzó en las cabinas de Madrid en el año 2000, culminando con el inicio de su viaje como productor en 2010. Su sonido se centra en el Progressive House, un lienzo que utiliza para pintar paisajes auditivos que se conectan directamente con la emoción del oyente.

Fiel a un camino independiente, Javier Rodríguez opera fuera de alianzas comerciales, impulsado únicamente por la intención de compartir la música en su forma más pura. Lo que importa es la experiencia: un estilo auténtico y personal donde la pasión y la creatividad se fusionan para contar historias sonoras que te invitan a un viaje atemporal en la pista de baile..

He started out when he was verry little ..
 As a young boy he was always looking for the best part of a song. 
 Marc West started with playing techno and minimal and after a while he started looking for the music with more soul.
 In 2000 / 2005 he created the first remixes and 
 started manipulating tracks who were difficult to mix ,and created this way 
 his own sound. The studio was based in Ghent, Belgium.till 2012 MarcWest kicks off its first remixes with a scrumptious cross--section of 
 electronic and sticky club sound.
