There was once a boy, whose called as "Golden Hands".
He called like this not because he could make masterpieces out of shit and sticks, but because he could steal artfully.
The boy grew as did his ego and appetites. One day he heard indignant talk in the street that the blacksmith appeared to have
a second child, and not just any child, but a golden child. Could it be that the legends about the golden mermaids were true? While people were discussing the future exorcism
the blacksmith for his affair with the mermaid, the now 17-year-old boy decided to steal the child. Night fell and there he was near the baby carriage.
There was a little golden girl lying there, indeed. "Why isn't the girl under guard and is she alive? How much gold will I get for her!" - thought the thief. Crazy with such luck, he decided to touch the child, but immediately he turned into a golden statue himself. A few minutes later, the girl's father entered the room and took the child and left in an unknown direction, leaving the statue as proof that the legends are true.

Before the hunt, Hallormsstaðaskógurans begin by gathering around the fire in a circle.  The hunt leader then takes a smoldering coal and lights a special bundle of herbs and flowers, which is used to bless the hunt.  The leader then pronounces the blessing, thanking the Great Spirit for the success of the hunt and asking for strength and courage for the foxes.  After the blessing is complete, the foxes raise their voices in a joyful chorus of squealing and howling, showing their readiness to hunt.  Finally the group disperses, all hallormsstaðaskógurans dispersing in different directions to begin the hunt.

On the north coast of Iceland in the town now known as Dalvik, there were the mountain hares, a mammal of the hare family of the hare family, also known as Lepus timidus.
Mountain hares are mostly crepuscular and nocturnal animals, and because they are most active in the early morning and early evening hours, people had to go out at night to catch them.
It was a kind of family ritual full of joy and children's laughter.
But unfortunately some homes were shrouded in darkness, where loving couples couldn't have a child or even gave birth to dead ones.
Some families who didn't want to put up with the curse solved the problem through Kanin. They would go out into the night and meet a mountain hare with bright red eyes. Then without frightening a mountain hare you had to follow him, so that he in turn showed the way to a black hare as big as two bears in length with bloodshot eyes, which locals called Kanin. The locals used to bring Kanin food. The food could also be a stillborn child. And while Kanin ate, the damned locals would make love in front of his eyes, then fall asleep there, and in the morning a miracle, a half-human, half-animal hybrid child, could be found in Kanin's place.
