An increasing in tempo trance mix (132-140BPM). As we say farewell to 2023 I wanted to put something together for a couple of long runs that I have planned for early 2024.  Some old, some new, some in between.  One of my favourite tracks Andain Promises-the Myon and Shane 54 Summer of Love Mix, which I cannot believe is 12 years old now.  Also Shine a Light by Bryan Kearney and Bo Bruce-I remember him closing out the Luminosity main stage with an instrumental version of it a while ago.  Fantastic. Boomtown is the Bass music project of Laughlin Meagher. Through his work as a live musician & touring artist, electronic music has always been a passionate mode of expression for this dynamic performer. With 30 years on stage & 17 years behind the decks, Boomtown is known for dancefloor oriented music. Laughlin spent 2013 Touring North America with Kytami performing live DJ/Multi Instrumental sets at over 14 festivals, 7 US States, 5 Provinces and countless clubs and venues. Laughlin often tours in the summer as a multi-instrumentalist with GANGA GIRI.
Crossing many genres, Laughlin has shared the stage Many local & international acts including Adham Shaikh, David Starfire, Chris Hatfield, Walk off the Earth, Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Delhi to Dublin, LTJ Bookum, DJ SS, Kytami, Trevor Moontribe, Andrew Interchill, Random Rab, Emancipator, JFB, DJ Nils and many more.

Boomtown is available for DJ sets, or as a Live Musician for studio or Tour work and also moonlights as a sound tech and Stage manager. 
Laughlin is currently producing electronic Fusion music with his new band Tripp the System.

Lincoln based DJ & Learning Producer | Beats4Exercise 🎧

Hello and thank you for visiting my SoundCloud page. 

Inspired by past and present trips to Ibiza I trained to DJ back in 2000 at a studio in Sheffield on Technics 1210s and the early CDJ 300s so I could record my own exercise to music mixes.

Alongside playing terrace sets with my own gear, I completed a six week Ableton Live music production course at The Lincoln DJ Hub to better understand the structure of electronic dance music.

Also a nod to the DJs, producers, vocalists and record labels who have provided me with an important soundtrack over the years many of whom I’ve come into contact with since posting mixes here.
