The Mortal Prophets blur the boundaries between reality and reverie, crafting soundscapes that pulse with cinematic intensity and lyrical mysticism. Led by enigmatic frontman and songwriter John Beckmann, the group emerged in 2022 from New York’s eclectic underground with their debut EP, “Stomp the Devil,” swiftly capturing attention for their innovative blend of blues-infused psychedelia, dream pop textures, and ambient atmospherics.

Known for their lush orchestrations and haunting vocals, The Mortal Prophets channel diverse influences—from the dark romanticism of Leonard Cohen and the poetic introspection of Nick Drake, to the avant-garde experimentation reminiscent of Brian Eno.
