Finding A Beautiful Mind

Amazing lost gem from House of Usher Music! This is a never before released track from the Celestium recording sessions in 1982. Produced by Gary Usher and written with the incredible Tom Kelly, also on vocals. Stefrika was a project song written for a young girl who was gravely ill. The song was to be commissioned for a short film, Intended to be animated. It was finished after the Celestium record was released on Sony Records. So, this fantasy styled beautifully colored song sits within its own space among the clouds and the sky. I watched as this song came to life at Preferred Sound Studios in Woodland Hills. Right down the street from my High School. I would bring my friends in for listening sessions at lunch. The ultra rare Synclavier synthesiser was used extensively on this. We made full use of it anytime we could get it, as there were only a couple available in L.A. at the time. Tom would usually come in after a an early morning round of Golf at the Calabasas Country club, and he would sing like an angel. So much character in his voice. Under my Dads production guidance, the pair worked magic. Truly a treasure within the vaults at House of Usher Music!

This is my arrangement of the song "Perfect Way" by the British pop band Scritti Politti. It was featured on the band's second and most successful studio album, Cupid & Psyche 85, released in June 1985.  I recorded this with MOTU's Digital Performer using 32 tracks of MIDI triggering a variety of both real and virtual synths including my Nord Stage 2, Roland D-550 and JV-1080, my Prophet-08, Emu Proteus, Ensoniq EPS-M, Yamaha TX81Z and many others.  I played this song with several bands during my career as a keyboard player including Gerard, Beat Crazee and Married w/Children.  Hope you enjoy the 80's awesomeness as much as I do!

Cafe Lecane is an 80's style Synth Pop project created by song writer, musician and producer: R.G.Lecane.

Azteca 500 fell in love with music at a young age. He would go to nightclubs and parties where music took on a journey and left his shirt sweaty by the end of the night. It was House, Dance Hall, Hip Hop, Afro Beats, Cumbria, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Rock en Español, Funk, Reggae, Reggaeton and Alternative music that were really present in his life. He recognizes the power that rhythm and melody have on our mind state and emotions. Music is very sublime and can motivate us to be productive, positive and focused. His mixes are mixed with an intention for the listener to reach their highest potential while grooving to good music.

Hello, I'm Richard, an audio engineer at Checkmark Audio, a music studio located in Albuquerque NM. I specializing in pop and rap.

I'm an acoustics engineer interested of spatial effects in headphone listening such as spatial distortion due to too large stereo separation. I try to enlighten people about unnatural aspects of spatial distortion and how it degrades the enjoyment on headphone listening without proper crossfeeding.

Music has always been an integral part of my life. From my earliest memories, it has shaped how I express my emotions and bring my creative ideas to life. Whether it was hours spent with a slightly out-of-tune upright piano or strumming on my sister's guitar, I was hooked. While I struggled with traditional music theory and never quite mastered reading or writing music, my passion for sound and composition only grew.

My journey truly began with a Casio VL-Tone, a keyboard that allowed me to record simple melodies. Throughout my teenage years, I poured countless hours and resources into building my first collection of music gear, recording everything from theme songs to pop and punk covers with friends. In my early twenties, I played in several bands and immersed myself in the live music scene, which was a great experience but often came with late nights and long hours.

During this time, I also began exploring electronic music more seriously, acquiring my first proper setup: a Kawai keyboard, Technics sequencer, Alesis HR16 drum machine, and a Yamaha MT100 4-track recorder. These tools opened up new possibilities and inspired me to experiment with electronic music production and midi-based compositions.

A lifelong fan of science fiction, fantasy, and cinematic soundtracks, I soon found myself gravitating toward composing thematic music. Movies, being my second greatest passion, heavily influenced the direction of my creative work.

In my 30s, life’s demands shifted my focus toward career and family, but my love for music never waned. Entering my 40s, I had the opportunity to refocus, acquiring new gear and fully committing to my musical development. With the help of modern technology, I now have a home studio where I can bring my musical ideas to life with greater precision and depth.

My current setup includes a Korg Triton LE, Cubase 12, Nektar LE88, Steinberg UR824 interface, and an array of VSTs such as Kontakt, Halion Sonic SE, Retrologue, and EastWest Symphonic Choirs, among others. This home studio, built over nearly a decade, allows me to push creative boundaries and explore new sounds and compositions.

Based in Liverpool, I’m currently writing is almost every style. Rock songs for my band Inner Fire. Pop tracks inspired by the 80's and 90's. Theme music inspired by film and literature with the aspiration of one day scoring a full-length production. 

Since joining SoundCloud, I've had the privilege of connecting with talented musicians and creative minds from around the world. One of the most fulfilling collaborations has been with John Styles, where we’ve explored a wide range of musical genres. 

I’m also proud to serve as the principal composer for Music for Brains, a project dedicated to healing through music and creativity. Working on this project has been deeply rewarding, as it has allowed me to connect with individuals on an emotional level, crafting compositions inspired by their stories.

I’m always open to feedback and collaboration, as it helps me refine my craft. While working in the music industry is a dream, I am also a grateful family man, and the support of my loved ones plays a crucial role in fuelling my passion. I am thankful to have such a strong network of family and friends who encourage me to keep pursuing my musical ambitions.

I arrived in Los Angeles in 1989 where I become bi-costal traveling between Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco working in the Film and Music Industry. Dancing in the Sound Factory, End-Up, Ice Factory, Mayan, Orbit, the Cat Club and the underground of LA. I threw undergrounds in downtown Los Angeles and ran a legal warehouse for four years. This is my beginning. It will never end.

No stranger to the infamous underworld we call techno, Astronoize have a style that will take you on a ride to the outer reaches of the universe! Nick Serna and TJ Genay came from a musical background and translate that to the way they play and produce. With Nick wielding the decks and TJ running the machines, their live performances encapsulate people in a wormhole of emotion and energy! Heavy drums, deep baselines, pulsing rhythms, and blistering leads are the sounds they use to paint their musical soundscape.
