12/23/21 18:26 sometimes the only thing that gets me through a day like this is background noise. rain is pouring and i’ve got a playlist going to keep me company. siri, play the transition in nights by frank ocean. i don’t say much, but i do listen. a lot. maybe that’s why i hold music so close to my heart. it tells me exactly what i needed to hear at times even when i haven’t said a thing. shit is heavy lately but i hope you keep holding on to the experiences and people that comfort you.

ps. track #8 billie (loving arms) by fred again.. is phenomenal... and sentimental to me for a lot of reasons. my favorite song that i absolutely had to include in my first/last/solo mix of the year. one big hug of a tune, literally. it’s the song that brings me the most happiness and warmth whenever i listen to it.

...feels like shelter when you put your lovin arms around me...
