Short bio :

DJ depuis 20 ans, Ben Shaydder débute sa carrière en 2003 en orientant son travail autour de la house. Au fil des années, il peaufine son style et devient peu à peu spécialiste de l’Open Format. Aux platines de plusieurs clubs parisiens et dans d’autres villes de France, il propose des sets chargés d’énergie et de technique avec une sélection musicale de grande qualité. Professionnel et inventif, Ben Shaydder enchaîne des résidences au O’Sullivans, Full Moon ou à l'Important Night Club pour le plus grand plaisir de visiteurs toujours plus friands de ses sets endiablés.
 
Full bio :

 Né en banlieue parisienne, Ben Shaydder grandit dans l’énergie urbaine du hip-hop. Mélomane, il nourrit sa culture musicale en travaillant chez un disquaire de Paris où il déniche des pépites soul & funky et développe son oreille. En parallèle, il découvrir au fil de ses sorties clubbing la musique électronique et se passionne pour la house music. Une passion qui le pousse d’abord à devenir DJ house sous le nom de Gary Leister avec une résidence au Folie’s Pigalle mais aussi des sets à la technoparade et à travers le monde. Il se fait également remarquer en produisant de nombreux morceaux, remixés par quelques-uns des artistes les plus réputés de la scène internationale underground.

En 2015, ce nomade du son ressent le besoin de diversifier ses styles musicaux tout en élargissant ses connaissances et compétences. Il décide alors de développer sa technique de mix en se tournant vers le turntablism (mieux connu sous le nom de scratch, ou l'art de créer de la musique grâce aux platines à vinyles et aux disques vinyles) et créé son nouveau pseudonyme : Ben Shaydder. L’année 2016 marque un tournant dans sa carrière puisqu’il intègre l’agence de booking ANR Prod qui lui ouvre notamment les portes du O'Sullivans à Paris. Expert des platines depuis 20 ans et riche de plusieurs centaines de booking derrière lui, Ben Shaydder se spécialise dans l’Open Format avec des mix ultra-techniques à l’énergie singulière. Aujourd’hui, il est DJ résident dans plusieurs clubs à Paris (Full Moon, l’Important) et joue régulièrement à travers toute la France.

Avec de multiples cordes à son arc du mix, il sait s’adapter pour offrir le meilleur de son large répertoire à une clientèle toujours très sensible à sa musique et son style. Plus polyvalent que jamais, cet as de la transition enflamme les dancefloors et met les foules en extase avec des inspirations urbaines, latines et électro dont il a le secret.

My turntables stopped spinning over 15 years ago. As a result of the lockdown I rediscovered my turntables and my mixer in the attic. I was happy like a little boy and connected the devices to each other. Mixing is like riding a bike, you don't forget it. This is how I released my first mixtape after more than 15 years.

For me, mixing is knowing which tracks you want to play, analyzing the track up and down, adjusting the tempo to the next track and mixing one beat into another without getting an earache. You have to feel the vibe. Scratching and short breaks shouldn't be neglected either. Nobody is perfect, but I hope you can hear the difference!
