'Bloom' kicks off the EP with a delightful collision of solid rhythm and crystalline shards of melody before 'Kairotic' goes for the jugular with its almost disorientating swirling lead. 'Spiralling' brings a lovely slice of chunky wonkiness before title track 'Hiraeth' lands with its wistful yet hopeful yen. Bringing the EP to a close is the driving force of 'Punching Through'; four to the floor and constantly pulling forward towards a brighter place.

Asymmetric head Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a much anticipated five track EP 'Ghost Reaction'.

'Limerence' opens the EP in a confident mood with a solid four-to-the-floor beat, burbling acid and Detroit-tinged chords which bring a playful tension as the track progresses. Second up, is the title track 'Ghost Reaction', a powerful, bass-heavy and shuffling beast that is juxtaposed with a typically assured Kennedy melody. 'Obsession' centres the release with its undulating wash and electro-like beat set against wistful, delicate tones. 'Splinters' brings the mystery with shards of gritty swirling frequencies and a heavy-hitting Asymmetric double-kick beat. Closing the EP is 'Cold Sweat' which takes the tempo down a notch but keeps the intensity up with its solid kick, metallic pulsing and acid-like bass fluctuations. Dig in!

'Isolated States' grinds the EP into gear in an upbeat way with yearnful drones and sprinkles of sonic dust and percussive punctuation before 'Reaching' introduces washes of evolving spacious sound over a steady heartbeat kick. 'Bygones' is up third and pulses with electricity and conjures something of a futuristic landscape of its own ahead of title track 'Utopian Fields' which stirs together its sounds of hope and unease. Asymmetric main man Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a diverse five track EP 'Radical Trust'.

Opening the EP is 'Chrysalism', driven by solid 909 kicks and toms, sprinkled with hats and layered with delicate melody and an occasional bass emphasis. Second track 'Kenetic' brings pure minimalist techno joy with its undulating organ pulses before 'Pitter-Patter' with its curious combination of dystopian and hopeful textures. Title track 'Radical Trust' is up next and sees Kennedy firing off in a Drum & Bass direction, showcasing a beautiful juxtaposition in sound design so typical of Asymmetric, heaviness, glitchiness and optimism. 'Nuts And Bolts' kicks off the release in functional style; a solid kick, undulating organ-like stabs and skittering hats blending in seductive balance. Next up is 'Totality', a steady foreground rising and falling, set to a four-to-the-floor beat and joined by optimistic tones and playful percussion. Centering the release is 'Subterfuge', an altogether edgier proposition; jittery shards introduce the track before the bass shifts up a gear and kick strengthens. Title track 'Welfare Syntax' follows; a classic Kennedy combination of optimism and melancholy, sounds growing and fading through the track and set against a driving beat. Bringing the release to a close is 'Yorukage', taking things deeper and slinkier and oozing with menace and an addictive charm.

Asymmetric boss Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a tantalising five track EP 'Irregular Tapestry' to close out 2025.

Title track 'Irregular Tapestry' opens the release in uplifting four-to-the-floor style; beat, melody and Detroit-tinged stabs driving along beautifully. Second up, 'Ballistic Limits' keeps to a functional theme with undulating sound design and an irresistible classic 909 rhythm section. Centering the release is 'Amaterasu', full of characteristic Kennedy melancholy and playfulness. Taking things down a notch is the sheer menace of 'Aselgeia', oozing with dubby influence and flickers of sordid imagery. Final track 'Vapour Trails' aches with drips of sound and a plaintive string section grounded by a steady kick heartbeat and takes its place as the last track of 2025 for the label.

== BIOGRAPHY ==
Back in the Day, Tyler Smith aka ‘Black Smith Craft’ discovered the unique sound of acid house and was immediately captured by the hypnotic vibe that emanated from the music during the end of the 1980’s.
He found himself seduced & consumed by this wave of electronic music and fell in love with the German melodic trance style labels such as Eye-Q, Platipus and Superstition, as many of us did… 
Having followed dance music in all its forms throughout the 1990’s he started DJ’ing and by the turn of the millennium he started to develop a taste for the more underground techno sound which was coming out of England, Germany & especially the Detroit sound of the time…
Tyler Smith had always wanted to be involved with radio broadcasts and this ambition kicked off in earnest when he started playing regularly on the ‘Tuesday Session’ show, broadcast on the very popular Campus FM (Villeneuve d’Ascq/France), which was run by Dmitri Pike of Mirage/Matrix/Subject Detroit fame.
Spurred on by the development of increased exposure through radio he started honing his skills in music production and the ‘Alphaground’ website was born. This brought about more exposure for his music mission and by 2004 Tyler was performing on a number of key profile dance music stations in France and Holland. During 2006 he launched ‘Interstate 94’ show with Erell Ranson & Pedro Cali for Livesets.com, which was dedicated to the sound of Detroit. This was quickly followed by the aptly named ‘B-Side Show’ which showcased the darker, offbeat & industrial sounds. Currently the main man is managing different shows playing classics from way back, Detroit & Birmingham tunes on Livesets.com, Emergence FM (Limoges/France), and Techno.fm 
In 2006 Tyler’s finally realized the goal of having his debut vinyl release which was in collaboration with Bionic on French label ‘Audiocrash’. This was quickly followed by several upstanding digital releases. Over the years Tyler’s side to the music has become darker & more industrial, which in turn has led to the birth of his most acclaimed project: Black Smith Craft… With music released already on distinct labels from the scene and more on the way for labels including Grovsjopa’s mighty ‘Pohjola’, Leeds finest ‘Limetree’, UTCH rec. & Rednox’ superb free net-label ‘Ante-Rasa’…
Since 2008, Tyler has played across Europe alongside artists like Kr!z, the 65d mavericks, Bas Mooy, DJ Toki, DJ Boss, Bionic, Dimitri Pike, Arrestar, Sean Matters, Systemic, Victor Martinez…
More recently, he has created the groups http://soundcloud.com/groups/technotherapy and http://soundcloud.com/groups/old-school-techno-1 on Soundcloud to keep the real techno spirit alive and promote both established and up and coming techno artists from around the world.

Inigo Kennedy is a pioneering and respected techno and electronic music producer and DJ. Since early on he experimented with electronics and technology and immersed himself in the airwaves, music stores and scenes of London, Manchester and beyond. From there has evolved his distinctive sound and attitude to music making and performance - entertaining accidents, taking risks and steadfastly following his heart rather than the herd.

He is well known for always bringing technical and creative originality and skill to his work - not least to his own innovative label Asymmetric which freely criss-crossed the electronic music landscape.

His DJ schedule has taken him all over the globe where he consistently plays energetic and emotionally-charged sets - often throwing in curve-balls or nodding to classic tracks that have shaped his own musical arc.

He has been responsible for a large and diverse back catalogue of releases and remixes on a number of labels around the world and has worked under a number of aliases such as Reducer and Tomito Satori. His discography stretches to well over 100 releases on vinyl, CD and digitally on established, if not seminal, labels such as Missile, Semantica, Stroboscopic Artefacts and current home, Token.

He is now a keystone of the Token label, having been responsible for its first release in 2007 and dozens of releases, remixes and collaborations since. He has planted seeds along the label's history with bold, distinctive and memorable tracks like 'Arcing', 'Cathedral', 'Obsidian', 'Plaintive', 'Voyager' and 'Tornado'. His critically acclaimed LP 'Vaudeville' released in 2014 perfectly captured his uniquely evocative sound and attitude.

Fast forward to 2018 and the culmination of his next steps with a powerful follow-up LP 'Strata' for Token. As the title of the tenth release on the label put it, onwards and wrongwards!

Overtime verwo decided to commit all his composition to microtonality, mostly using a sobre mix of rational and irrational intervals to do classical theme development within various styles like rock, jazz, electronic, trip-hop, sometimes involving simple polyrhythmic beats resulting in ethereal yet unsettling soundscapes.
