Episode 564 brings us a mix from a phenomenal dj and unfortunately a fallen junglist soldier, Barnabas!

This is a tribute mix from Barnabas for all to hear his genius, he is a member of the vaunted NLF crew, which you'll be hearing a lot from in the future, particularly when they release on PPJ Recordings in the form of Amiga Junglism, XSM aka Phineus II, and Si Goes Retro, keep those eyes peeled for that!

Barnabas's mix is an all vinyl, all 94' beauty! No tracklist for this one, but headz will recognize classics in the mix! This flawless mix will take you back!! Slide this one on and push up those lighters for Barnabas, RIEP junglist!!!

Words from Barnabas's wife:

Mike devoured music and it was his biggest passion. His favourite genres were dance related and he grew up listening to and making tunes on his trusty Amiga 500. In the early 90s he’d listen to DJ Osmosis on Exile radio. A few years ago he bought a box of 12” records for £100 from the house clearance shop at the end of the road we lived on. Once he got them home, he realised they were DJ Osmosis’ own records, the ones he’d broadcast with. He loved things like that and felt honoured to have them in his collection. Last year, by accident, I found out that his favourite DJ was DJ Pilgrim. Everyone thinks their other half is special, but he really was amazing.

i've noticed that when i look up "sunvox" here, one of the top autocomplete suggestions add "jungle" to the end. it seems that people inexplicably want content that combines sunvox and jungle. failing to see anything that adequately fulfilled this i made some jungle in sunvox :) i have bowed to the algorithm's whims (hence the title)

truth be told i'm not an avid listener of "strictly" jungle, i much prefer the harder and/or experimental side of drum 'n' bass. nonetheless this was a bit of a fun experiment for me :)
