Primary Colours keeps the theme going on their Reserve series collaborating with another great friend, Silver Ash. Mad Roy found its way from Brisbane to Melbourne to the Victorian Coast before finally finishing its journey on this limited edition 10 inch wax. 

Modulating synths, polyrhythmic percussion, tape delays and one massive bassline all work in tandem to create a tune full of building grooves and sneaky surprises. 

Mad Roy will shake the foundations of the biggest clubs. 

Mad Roys remix began its journey 16 years ago. Richie Hawtin released "Closer To The Edit" that year and was picked up at the local record store and immediately played on the car stereo on the way home. Instantly mesmerised by the groove the sleeve notes were pulled out to find Bluetrain vs Dean DeCosta >Diminishing Returns< Special Edition Dub on Mosaic was that record. That moment changed everything. It would be their dream to one day have one of their tracks remixed by one of their biggest influences and this day has arrived! The first vinyl installment from ODT Records is a vinyl only EP: UFO Park. Produced by Romanian trio Lisière Collectif, and including remixes from Melodie & Teluric, under their duo alias Glueped, and from Steve O'Sullivan.

The music is a 4 tracks EP: where "U - 2902 - 16" is a classy minimal composition, blending a tight beats with a deep and bewitching atmosphere that have been re-interpreted by our two remixer on the B side. In the A2 spot, it's the warm deep and groove-oriented "B - 0912 - 15" that has been pressed.

Designs of the EP have been created by our faithfull Oriane Yo, who used Andu Simion photographies in a pure and simple arrangment.

Moving on from the house tinged vibes of LTDX1, side A of the follow up sees Bluetrain (aka label boss Steve O'Sullivan) slip into full Steppa mode for some serious skankin' in the shape of "Armchair Analyst". Set to a classic one-note riff, he fires the machines into action with neatly swung riddims, low toms and a tight kick to hold the groove - making the most of the interplay between reverb and splashes of delay, he fills the spaces and levels in between with precision. Subtle yet groovy, it bears all the hallmarks worthy of soundbwoy status that'll bring some much needed bounce to the dance floor.

By contrast, Side B welcomes a full portion of head nod from Dutch(ie) dub master Roger Gerressen. "Long Overdue" places a firm emphasis on a finely tuned metronomic snare as snappy hats swirl their way around. With off-beat kicks pulsing down low just as much they roll, he makes the most of the bare essentials, injecting a widescreen feel to the composition. A filtered guitar riff and splashes of vocals criss-cross their way across the stereo field, which will appeal as much to techno heads as it will to fans of HEAVY bass.

The Primary concept is not a cyclical loop. Blending these elements you take view of secondary colours, further iterations you view tertiary colours.

This concept allows a rich tapestry of dance floor immersions.
