Day 12 of the 12 Days of Christmas Stories! I had a lot of fun with this project, and I've learned a ton that I'm looking forward to applying to future audiobooks down the road!

The Velveteen Rabbit

“TIME BOMB MUSIC BOX” is a programmatic piano piece I wrote when I was 22. It tells the story of a villain who leaves a music box rigged to explode on the doorstep of an innocent little girl. I had an old cassette tape recording of this piece, digitized it, and added some sound effects. TIME BOMB MUSIC BOX

A children's book that tells of a little tree growing where trees are not supposed to grow.  He is laughed at and discriminated against, but in the end he is able to turn his "weakness" into a strength and survive and grow.  The full audiobook is available on over 50 audiobook sites.

In mid-September of 1897, The New York Sun’s editorial department received a very thought-provoking letter from 8-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon asking, is there a Santa Claus? On September 21, 1897, Francis P. Church’s editorial reply “Is There a Santa Claus?” was printed. Church’s reply has become history’s most reprinted newspaper editorial. It has appeared in dozens of languages in books, movies, other editorials, and has been featured on posters and stamps. Church’s beloved editorial is presented in its entirety for narrator and concert band.

Fay Roberts is a performance poet, a musician, a storyteller, an events host, an accidental voice actor, Artistic Director for Spoken Word at PBH’s Free Fringe, and an enormous geek. During weekdays, ze persuades people to make lists and say no to shiny things. For every role, there is a different hat, and a spreadsheet to match. Zir first full collection, Spectral, came out with Burning Eye in March 2022, and ze describes it as “a kind of poetry concept album, with illustrations”.

Michael Joseph DeRosa is a composer, screenwriter, and author. with a B.A. in composition, and graduate work at the Julliard School of Music.  He has been a teacher for many years in private, public and performing arts schools, and a professional pianist, singer and entertainer. He is the father of four children, and author of "Gateway of the Sun" a teenage adventure story which he has adapted to a screenplay and a TV pilot, as yet to be produced.
