I made this song a long time ago for a friend called Raiyzer, he's a good dude and been with me now and known me now for a long time, he's my long brother, so I thought it was time to master this track and give it a whole new look. Angelie Vincent, a mid-career aerospace engineer living with autism, diabetes, and celiac disease, reflects on lessons learned from a late diagnosis, masking in the workplace, and the power of mentorship.

In conversation with Jenevieve Surkin, lead of SWE’s DisAbility Inclusion Affinity Group (DIAG), hear how universities and workplaces can do better and why requesting accommodations is about creating equal access and opportunity.

Sometimes life gets in the way, sometimes life throws you curveballs, health sometimes affects you and sometimes all of these as well as many more problems may overwhelm you at the best of times and even go as far as ruin your days. 

For me, this is something I've been dealing with from a very young age, this is something I'm always battling, my life gets hard and then the medications I take too, my life is and for me has always been difficult and there's been times where I've said to myself, nah today is the day I give up. 

Look, life can be very unforgiving and can be a real cruel mistress at times, but, just know this, if life does get to you and get hard, just do what I do, you just gotta push through it, yeah, it's gonna be a road full of hurt and pain but you got this, I keep pushing myself everyday, despite all my health conditions and the struggles Ive gotta go through I just always keep pushing myself even on bad days. 

The more you believe in yourself even though right now you might now, always be proud of who you are and not what people say you are. At the end of the day you are you as well as I'm me, so, let those people who judge you judge because it means that they have nothing better to do other than just be a debbie downer on other people. Especially me and you. Always just push yourself, be yourself and love yourself for who you are no matter what other people say about you. 

Ignore those who call you names or are being nasty or even being a bully, don't let them get to you because you are so much more better than they are! 

Life's gonna get hard, life's full of pain and hurt, but, you are unique and special, like me, so, always just believe in yourself and always follow your dreams, goals and ambitions, because yous are absolutely beautiful in every single way! 

Remember this, learn this and if you need a reminder about this, come back to this song and read me! Because everything I said is true! 

Believe me and listen, by doing what I do, honestly you'll see yourself improve!

I struggle though with everyday life as I was born with disabilities. I'm Autistic, I've got ADHD, Asperger Syndrom and Asthma. However this doesn't stop me from following my dreams and making music. I'm also a huge fan of gaming and a huge fan of playing Piano. I'm from the United Kingdom and was born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne and still from Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Home of the geordies.
