DETOURNEY is an Undertale AU based on and set in an alternate timeline of Escape from the Dark World in which the tournament never continued past WR2.

Lancer begins to have second thoughts about humoring the Lightners, and calls off the tournament. With no hope of them returning to their home worlds, they spread out across the Dark World and find a place to call their own. Barney has a premonition of what will happen if this imbalance between light and dark persists, and brings it upon himself to get the gang back together.

Eddy is the Asriel replacement. He’s come to believe that he and the other Lightners were sent to the Dark World to face retribution, and has tasked himself to right the wrongs of those still lying to themselves in the dark... With everyone finally reunited, he can exact his mission. It’s up to Barney to convince him this isn’t the solution.

(A) * Oh god.
(A) * A-are you kids all okay?
(A) * Agh, what am I even saying? You three have been missing for an entire day....
(A) * I can't believe you three missed out on the majority of the festival...
(A) * P-pardon me, guys. I'll take you to safety.

(A) * Kris, Noelle... It's so nice seeing you two again.
(A) * And you... Susie, wasn't it?
(A) * That's a nice name. I'm sure we'll get along.

So, the sixth chapter concluded.
The Doctor was now out of the picture.
But, the end to the story was yet to be brought,
and the calamity yet to be stopped.

Heroes of light.
They would soon face the end of all things,
and confront the "Angel" above it all.
Myself.

However, there is one last thing the Doctor did not want you to see,
is there not?
That is right. 
One final piece to the fetch quest you might have wanted for yourself.
I do wonder, when will it be discovered? 

Only time will tell. 
You will just have to wait, as you've countlessly done before.

This song is meant to be a sort of intro in the style of "another him" basically explaining why the player is controlling nubert instead of kris. i don't really know the details why tho

This is my arrangement on a song composed by somebody else. It was kind of interesting to do something like this since I had never done it before. There were times when I was looking through the file when I was thinking "Wait, they did this?" and "Wow that's so cool!" It was kind of difficult to make an arrangement of a song without changing its identity, and in the end I did remove a few parts of the original to keep the pacing. 

If you want to listen to another version which was also arranged by @vexodus11 you should check out Lamp's Newgrounds page. It's a bit different from mine, but it's pretty cool! (at the time of writing this he hasn't uploaded it yet, so maybe check back later)
