Facets' "Sonic Ocean" EP on Slovenian label KRI Records deliberately excavates the raw spirit of late ’80s New Beat and EBM for a modern audience. The New York-based producer, also the force behind Samo Records, channels this gritty energy into a contemporary club context with striking precision. His four original compositions rest on a foundation of stripped-down, muscular rhythms and tense, wiry electronics that lock together with industrial purpose. This compelling core work is then amplified by powerful reinterpretations from two distinct voices: the Midas touch of Marcello Giordani and the punishing approach of Broken English Club, resulting in a formidable and complete parcel.

Premiered here, the Alter Ego Mix of the title track by Marcello Giordani is a masterclass in controlled escalation. The Italo Deviance maestro wraps the original's EBM menace in a cloak of psychedelic texture, introducing a relentless, squelching acid line that acts as the track's throbbing nervous system. Around this core, Giordani weaves sharp fragments of Techno and Trance, not as mere decorative elements, but as structural reinforcements that build a palpable sense of anticipation. The calculated intensity of the track is broken by intermittent vocoder passages. Patrick started djing when 16 years old and has a history of gigs in youth clubs , student parties clubs ,underground techno and psytrance scene in Belgium , As a youngster and as Dj Floorwax  he was resident DJ in The Grooveyard and the Hump playing an eclectic mix of hip Hop , techno , soul, funk , ragga and grooves sharing the decks with with baby B &Smos , DEG and ..... The residencies in Red&Blue and Cartiers followed taking a more trancy direction and his found love for trance music lead to  being part of the first wave of Goa trance DJ's in Belgium and around 1997 he was resident DJ at the legendary Dance-A delic parties and many others from 1998 until 2005 as Gowax. During this time he co-produced and released psy trance tracks together with industry veteran Tom Moons and Tikki Masala on various trance labels.

The last 10 years Gowax has been deep into Dark electronics picking up the wavy Liasons dangereuses vibe playing tracks  going from Dark Disco , EBM , techno to new wave infused tracks and everything that feels right for the night. Gowax has a solid love for underground rock and metal. Favourite bands from those days are Helmet , Urban dance Squad , KONG, No Means No ,Cosmic Psycho's and the rock riffs are therefore quite present in his Dark Electronics sets and mixes. Gowax is a DJ but also a dancer and this energy is always present in his DJ sets . Hope to see you soon on the dance floor somewhere 🚀 🖤

As Floorwax he plays a groovy mix of all quality electronic and non electronic tracks  he came across in his 36 years DJ career , this depending on the night and the wishes of the party promotor.

All of my tracks on Soundcloud are free to download. 100% of my tracks on Soundcloud are my own original works, I don't do covers, arrangements or remixes.  I mainly write melodies, my pieces usually consist of a lot of melodic content and are melody driven. My music is multi-instrumental, I use many different instruments.. Many of my pieces contain more notes than a Pop song, less notes than a symphony. 

I compose music in many genres: Children's, Jazz, Melodic, Ethnic, Space, Halloween, Classical, Southern/Western, Rock. My music encompasses a lot of variety, it is eclectic. All my pieces have been notated, contact me and send me your email address if you want free PDF's of particular compositions. I currently use Sibelius 7.1.3 and Noteperformer. I have been writing music since I was in Junior High School, I have some songs with lyrics, but most are instrumentals. I was in band in High School and College, and I have been a member in several choirs as well.  

Update: I have recently uploaded virtually all of the compositions I have composed since 1997. I have included playlists as part of my offerings, with compositions from many novel genres.

I am open to collaborations with members of Soundcloud.

I have many pieces that are crafted primarily using the Aeolian scale. Some examples include, "Exotic Emerald", "Starlight Vow", "Bard 2 with Violin", "An Evening in Chatham Bay" and "Sacred Turkish Fountain".
