Each part is a confession.
Each part is a transformation.

This is not a movie.
This is not a novel.

This is a testimony from after the end.

Zombies. Nostalgia. Flesh. Memory. Fear.

My name was — Part 2 — Linda

My name was — Part 5 — David

A little late for Halloween perhaps, but hey, it's never too late for a fun little horror story.

The neighbours,
Never said a word.
But they all noticed,
The screams they heard.

Every few months,
The dear old soul,
She'd take in another,
Young drifter Ay hole.

They'd stay for a while,
They'd steal her stuff,
Always mean!
Always rough!

But she'd smile,
With that endearing way.
There was nothing about her,
To give her away.

Mrs Creeber,
That house nearby,
Would never hurt anyone,
Not even a fly.


As years went by,
And her garden thrived,
Somethin' just wasn't right.

There was something amiss,
A growl, or a hiss?
Strange sounds in the night.

Was a terrible fright.

I'll never forget that sight.

Mrs Creeber,

Mrs Creeber,


I was workin' a late one,
Radio called.
Was pouring a flood.
On the street, streams of blood.

The neighbours all silent,
Not a word,
Nothing heard,
The garden was gory,
There was more to this story.

Mrs Creeber,

She opened the door.

Mrs Creeber,

Blood all over the floor.

Mrs Creeber,

"He couldn't eat anymore!"


As years went by,
And her garden thrived,
Somethin' just wasn't right.

There was something amiss,
A growl, or a hiss?

Was a terrible fright.

I'll never forget that sight.

Mrs Creeber,

Mrs Creeber,

As I searched the rooms,
Mrs Creeber followed,
Chunks of meat,
"he couldn't swallow!"

And that's when I saw it,
The monster before it,
Lying on the floor.

A hideous creature,
From a horror feature,
Dead in a heap near the door.

It had a gaping mouth,
Full of teeth and snout,
That breathed air no more.

Was a terrible fright.
What I saw that night.
I'll never forget that sight.


Not a word was said,
Like a needle and thread,
The grifters came and went.
She'd fatten them up,
Set them up,
Send them up,
To the attic where Misty slept.


As I led her away,
To answer her case,
A little smile,
Crept over her face.

And she leaned in.
Real close and said,
With an innocent tone,
That knocked me dead.

"They were all the same,
But I digress.
That Misty...
He always made such a mess!"
