Blu 9 is a Chicago born and raised dj/producer within the underground house/techno scene. Often called the chameleon, being able to seamlessly move through house and techno and bringing a significant energy to events she plays.
Art and music always being a priority and focus, learning violin at 7, followed by composition and interest in piano and percussion. This is echoed in her productions which often fuse electric violin with percussion instruments and string elements, and can be found on many labels with a rich organic sound.

 Blu continues to maintain a consistent weekly residency in Chicago’s boystown neighborhood as part of the Organized Grime Crew (resident dj) at various venues in that neighborhood interjecting underground house, techno and tech house back in an area that desperately needed it as well as bringing that sound back into the gay clubs/bars in Chicago.

Blu 9 has  become a Model 1 ambassador, the only Chicago based artist holding the only Model 1 mixer in the area. Exposing various Chicago artists to the unique mixer has been an exciting and a rewarding challenge. “I love watching those experiencing it for the first time and hearing the various element this mixer brings out in tracks and instruments. The mixer is smooth and silky. However, it is not for beginners. It is a very unforgiving piece of equipment and pushes you as a dj to listen to your music and sound. “
In keeping with the “giving back” to the scene mentality, Blu assisted in running the Live Labs at Twist and Fader, bringing in local djs to showcase their talents on a live stream while their set is recorded.

Nils Haze is based in Goettingen and DJ since 2012. Techno belongs to his genres. In 2012, when he started to figure out how to make music, he couldn't decide for one genre in particular and started to experiment. In 2014 mostly he played on commercial parties. One year later, after all he figured out that his heart beat for Techno. In 2015 on NYE he had his breakthrough due to an 11hr. Set. In the meantime, Nils Haze got some notable references.

His biggest goal is to appear in the Awakenings festival line up some day.
With his music he would like to relieve the audience from their day to day stress and to take them into another world where everything can happen. He would label his music as floating and deep.

Music Composer / Live Performer / Sound Designer

Electronic music has long been used as a medium for escapism, whether that’s the mindful release of the dancefloor or the imagined vistas of outer space. Eddie Merced distils both these qualities into his craft, using the foundational structures of deep techno and house as a carrier for his expansive, star-gazing productions. 

An early intake of his father’s freestyle records while growing up in Hartford, Connecticut, was the gateway into electronic music for Merced, but his own journey went deeper and further out into all kinds of subgenres. He took time to reflect on all these stimuli before entering into production himself, and now you can hear the melodic splendour of ambient and trance colliding with the committed experimentation of techno in his tracks. The groove is still a vital ingredient though – as much as Merced uses his music as a platform for cinematic expression, he’s still focused on the ritualistic physical response that dance music was originally built for. 

Early accolades came thick and fast for Merced’s first releases – Laurent Garnier was a keen supporter of his first 12” From Within, which came out on Gabcat in 2016. Since then subsequent releases have appeared on Savvy Records and Snail Juice, while additional tracks have appeared on Brothers’ Vibe’s seminal NJ house label Mixx Records, and Karim Sahraoui’s MIRAKLES. 

Continuing to develop his sonic imprint, Merced also launched the Mercetti alias as an outlet for his more house oriented sounds, which appeared on NightChild Records in 2018 via the masterful All Night EP. With his focus on illustrious, sweeping synth lines still present at the core, Mercetti sits comfortably alongside Merced’s primary techno output. Whichever strand to his craft you choose to focus on, Eddie Merced’s instinct for emotionally charged melodies and vividly rendered sonic vistas make this the quintessential music for escapism of any kind, carrying on the fine tradition that came before him and heading into uncharted space.
