Tyvaso is currently approved by the Food and Drug Administration in the US, however, the examination of how  an inhaled form of Tyvaso (Tyvaso DPI)  might better assist patients with PH and PH-ILDs is currently under way by United Therapeutics.

The event will be focused on raising awareness about ILDs, of which PF is one, and subsequently hoping patients are able to be diagnosed faster. This first-ever event is a collaboration between various patient and advocate-driven organizations connected to the ILD community, including PF Warriors and the Wescoe Foundation for Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Patient Groups Team Up to Create First ILD Day on Sept. 15

Dr. Daniel Culver, chairman of the Pulmonary Department in the Respiratory Institute at Cleveland Clinic, dives in to the topic of interstitial lung diseases, their diagnosis and management. He covers use of transbronchial cryobiopsy, the benefits of multidisciplinary discussion, and changes in the use of immunosuppressive and anti-fibrotic therapies. Dr. Culver talks about the need for identifying and taking care of comorbidities as a critical part of managing care of these patients, and offers some considerations on the future of diagnosis and therapies.
