Somewhere Only We Know

"Somewhere Only We Know" is a song originally composed and performed by English alternative rock band Keane, released as the first single from their debut album, Hopes and Fears (2004). The single peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart during its first week of sales, becoming the band's signature song and biggest hit single to date. In 2013, the song was covered by Lily Allen for a John Lewis Christmas advert; Allen's version reached number-one in the UK Singles Chart. This arrangement for concert band combines elements of both versions, with prominent use of Cor Anglais. Richard Hughes, Keane's drummer and one of the song's writers, offered the following explanation of the song: "We've been asked whether 'Somewhere Only We Know' is about a specific place, and Tim [Rice-Oxley] has been saying that, for him, or us as individuals, it might be about a geographical space, or a feeling; it can mean something individual to each person, and they can interpret it to a memory of theirs... It's perhaps more of a theme rather than a specific message...Feelings that may be universal, without necessarily being totally specific to us, or a place, or a time..." - this ambiguity makes it a great piece for all sorts of events and as one of the best ballads from the first years of the 21st century, sure to be enjoyed by audiences and players alike, across the generations.

Esteban is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Argentina (Patagonia) who has been traveling around the world playing music for more than a decade. Singing from the heart and infused with passion from his Latin roots, he performs in English and Spanish and plays acoustic guitar with a looping system, which makes him able to add guitar licks and solos, bass, beatbox and percussion to create a FULL BAND SOUND. 

Esteban's shows are filled with covers and original music. His music selection is broad and includes classics from the 60's, 80's and 90's, R&B, beach style happy reggae and funky tunes, Latin music, Aussie classics and modern hits.

Contemporary Wedding Duo (Cello and Piano) based in the Cotswolds. JAM Duo provide live music for weddings and events all over the UK. 

The name JAM Duo refers to our first names  Jules & Anne-Marie. Jules Addison is the Pianist whilst Anne-Marie Humphries plays the cello for JAM Duo.  

Jules & Anne-Marie live in a 16th century barn on the Wiltshire / Gloucestershire border and are available to perform at weddings and events anywhere in the UK.
