A show that’s been in the making for well over two decades, two hours dedicated to the most minute of the vinyl formats: seven inches! 
Robbie goes deep digging into the seven-inch shoebox and comes up with a glut of gold from far and wide. 
We get started in and around the year 2000, and revisit the turn of the millennium throughout this episode. The perverse world of V/Vm gets the platter spinning, the lager and fag ash stained “Rompford Rap” followed by some proper blip hop from Kid606 before Planet Mu sevens from Venetian Snares and o9.
Softer tones abound in this show with warm clicks and gentle electronics from Isan and Geiom. In a similar vein, Lowfish and the superb Skanfrom are well represented with some quality tracks from imprints like A.D.S.R. and Awkward Silence.
Heavier electro offerings arrive care of The Exaltics and The Suiciders. Much of this transmission is dedicated to a favourite genre of the seven inch format, synthwave. Gems from labels like Anna Logue, Genetic Music and Kernkrach shine with well crafted works of tear jerker machine pop. 
Never ones to shy away from some italo disco, Fake and Transport both feature for some mid 80s joy. The close is a shout out to our good pal Mark and a favourite of his from Nervous Assistant on Blind Prophet.

Taking over my show this month are two OG electronic music producers I highly admire - Kid606(@kid606) and Jonathan Snipes(@jonat8han) (of the band @clppng). To give some personal background, I found out about Miguel(Kid606)’s music in high school downloading it off Oink and fast forward years later we ended up playing shows together in LA. Jonathan was my sound design professor at UCLA and taught me advanced Max/MSP while also mixed my first record back in 2017. Jonathan’s mix is a “whole hour of early tigerbeat6/violent turd tracks as a tribute to Miguel“. I’m proud to have these two on my show.

Bio: One of the most playful artists in the American electronic music scene - Miguel De Pedro, aka KID606, is dedicated to bringing his uniquely reckless fucked up and beautiful music to our fucked up and beautiful world. Insipired by the best of electronica, punk, jungle, hiphop, bass, dancehall and techno, Kid606 fuses it all together with a love of pop culture that Andy Warhol would approve of. A prolific collaborator and remixer he has worked with Christopher Willits, Danny Elfman, Peaches, The Rapture, Depeche Mode, The Locust, Matmos, Lesser, Dj Rupture, Super Furry Animals and many others. Apart from running the labels Tigerbeat6, Shockout, and Tigerbass, Kid606 has performed all around the world many times over, and released records on highly regarded labels such as Ipecac, Wichita, Mille Plateaux, Fatcat, and Carpark.

From his roots in Venezuela to his current base in Barcelona, Luis Garban’s sonic journey began in the early 2000s, drawn by the arcane combo of IDM, jungle, and hardcore swirling through the ether. Unspooling ribbons of breaks-laced rave as Cardopusher, his work soon evolved toward darker, stranger inclinations – a toothsome fusion of icy wave, industrial sounds, and leftfield reggaeton intertwined with flair and a fervour for the flavor of experimentation.
After contributing production credits on several tracks on Arca´s "KiCk" series like "Prada/Rakata" and "KLK" feat. Rosalía, he brought forth the new moniker of Safety Trance, unveiling the audio-visual experience 𝘌𝘭 𝘈𝘭𝘮𝘢 𝘘𝘶𝘦 𝘛𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘫𝘰 on Boysnoize Records. Borne from a mind-meeting with longtime friend, collaborator and acclaimed soundsmith Arca, the song is an infectious combination of cyberpunk post-physicality atmosphere and bangin’ mechanized beats juxtaposed with her electrifying vocals.
Since then, fast forwarding to 2024, he has released several EP´s and remixes under his new alias. Standout works includes the critically acclaimed "Lágrimas" (Club Romántico, 2022) and "Arena!", a recent collaboration with Sega Bodega. Additionally He has collaborated with a diverse array of like-minded artists such as Isabella Lovestory, DJ Florentino, LSDXOXO, Virgen María, VTSS, La Goony Chonga and Iceboy Violet.

One Child Policy is the sonic moniker of Dennis Ruowei Cao / 曹偌伟 , a Los Angeles based music producer, sound designer, DJ, and software engineer. Cao was raised by two electrical engineers brought up in China; they helped spark his fascination with electronic music at a very early age. 

His breakthrough debut, ​Cultural Transmissions​, released in November 2017, delivered a unique take on atmospheric techno, electro, acid and left-field house. It caught the attention of publications such as Resident Advisor, Mixmag and XLR8R. 

Soon after he released on labels such as Black Lodge (LA) , Guangzhou Underground (Guangzhou, China), and Arca's Mutants Mixtape. He runs an online radio show on Lower Grand Radio (Oakland) and has also appeared on various radio stations such as Rinse FM, NTS, The Lot Radio, Dublab, Currents.FM and others.
In late 2020, he started an electronic label called Dian Nao (电脑, “electronic brain”) with his latest EP It Mirrored Me (它反映了我), which garnered support on Apple Music editorial and Magnetic Mag.

His hybrid DJ sets explore a wide range of moody emotions and introspection through futuristic, psychedelic, hauntingly beautiful and melancholic strains of electronic music.
