GCOD Closing Tanzstube for Mad Katz @Hive 28.11.2025 [Recording]

Recorded a portion of my 5-hour all-vinyl set straight to cassette as a little rebellion against the “enshittification” of digital life. Before algorithms and paywalls, DJs preserved nights like these on tape and I wanted to freeze this moment the same way. The vibe on a cold November night in Reno at Lobar Social… all captured. Maybe my daughter finds it in 30 years. Maybe a crate-digger finds it in 2055. Either way, it lives in the real world now.

An emotional moment, since Der Hintergarten only has one weekend left before she needs to go. A sudden plottwist after an indescribable year full of warmth, love and memories. Unintentionally, Ondersteboven became a moment to start saying goodbye.

Returning from Midburn feels like waking up from a beautiful dream. To help land softly back into reality, Episode 004 is a very special release.

Recorded live at the Sweetspot Midburn fundraiser, this set marks a personal milestone for me. Playing alongside a live trumpet player has always been a dream of mine, and sharing the stage with the incredibly talented Daniel Olevski made it unforgettable.

This hour captures the magic of that night—the anticipation of the burn, the live energy, and the soul of the trumpet.

The Year of Music project began in May 2011  there has been a new musical creation posted each day.  Each new piece is created in real-time.   The project is currently in its 13th year.  To date, there are over 4700 "Daily Doses" in the project.

Richard’s live performances take audiences on a journey away from the busy world and into a calmer, less chaotic mental and emotional environment.  Drawing on his classical training, jazz and pop familiarity, Richard creates music thru an improvisational process.  His music has been called a soothing elixir for the soul, mind and body.

In 2016, composer/contemporary pianist Richard Carr moved to the Monterey Bay area of California after living in his native St. Louis area since 2005.  Richard spent 10 years working as a pianist in the night clubs, hotels and restaurants of the French Quarter of New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina.  He has released twenty-fiven solo albums and one collaboration in the contemporary instrumental /new age genre.

Aware of the meditative quality of his music, Richard has been exploring the healing side of his music.  Working in the holistic community of St. Louis, Richard developed the I AM Creative Sessions. These sessions are personal sessions in which Richard creates music for the client’s intention or focus.  In essence, he creates a soundtrack for the intention.
  
Currently Richard's electronic keyboard set-up includes Kurzweil PC3x and PC4x,  StudioLogic Numa 2-88,and the Roland boutique synths JP-08 and JX-03.

Born in Tel Aviv, Ari is a DJ and electronic music producer who crafts immersive experiences that blend genres and transcend boundaries. His signature "festival sound" – characterized by subtle, euphoric bass modulations – keeps dance floors pulsating with energy.

Ari's approach to DJing is deeply rooted in the "now" moment. He views each set as a unique and unrepeatable collaboration with the crowd and the environment, acting as a conduit for a collective experience.

His passion for holistic DJing led him to found Filter, an electronic music academy in Tel Aviv where he guides students beyond technical skills, cultivating awareness, connection, and the ability to create magic on the dance floor.

Influenced by Tel Aviv's vibrant Psytrance scene and his transformative experiences at Burning Man, Ari infuses his music with a psychedelic depth and a sense of conscious exploration.
