One of the highest accolades you can any label is saying that their releases are "unpredictable". That's certainly the case with Horn Wax, whose off-kilter, psychedelic and decidedly cosmic approach to music is never less than engaging. This eighth instalment in the low key series features another two trippy excursions from Weatherall cohort Scott Fraser and Palma-based nu-disco types Mushrooms Project. The latter's "Analogue City" is typically psychedelic, layering humid waves of synthesizer atop a sludgy, acid-flecked analogue groove. It's [Emotional] Especial regular Fraser who steals the show, though, with the druggy acid-meets-new wave pulse of "The Arch". If it's not an anthem down at World Unknown, it soon will be.
