Laura Ma graced us with her presence on this episode of NewForum. Laura is a Photographer, Art Director & Artist working for brands such as Louis Vuitton. She is also dropping an NFT collection in collaboration with Playboy!

We enjoyed our conversation with her about her NFT Collection, Web3 Tools for Creatives, and how these tools will impact the Creative Industry!
We began the conversation with Laura telling us about herself and how falling down the NFT rabbit hole looked like for her.

Laura shared that she participated in competitions organized by Playboy, and another by Paris Hilton, who is involved in NFTs. She explained that Playboy is trying to empower artists around the globe through art exhibitions.

"Last year, we participated in Art by Basel, that took place in Miami, and they used the CenterFold for an exhibition with different kinds of NFT covers from Playboy. It was a social event; it was huge and dope…" - Laura

Laura lives in Paris and sadly could not attend the event in person. According to Laura, this event and project gradually grew to become a community. This community collaborate on various art projects while supporting each other. Laura is currently working with a few other Playboy artists. 

She shares more about art projects she is working on with other Playboy artists and her journey falling down the NFT rabbit hole in her full interview.

Laura is a Professional Artist who works as a retoucher and photographer, so we wanted to hear her views on Web3 tools and why they are helpful for artist in general. 

Laura explained that Web3 is about the Metaverse, NFT, and Cryptocurrencies which gives the artist the freedom to express themselves and feel empowered without dealing with all the barriers placed by the conventional art world.

"It's difficult to get into the fashion world or the art world, not just everyone can be a part of it in Paris because of the rules and having to fit in their world to get access to it. I think Web3 disrupt this and give everyone a chance…" - Laura
