BIG BUSINESS @ LOVERS & FRIENDS - 80s/SOUL/RARE GROOVE

Two gold standard musical compositions I won’t insult by labelling with a genre. 'Truth is the key' is one of my favourite tracks period, the Arp solo just does it for me in every way. The vocal will be familiar as Irene Datcher also sang on the James Mason LP (who also features on these tracks) . 'Dreamflower' should need no introduction, famously Sampled by Erykah Badu’s ‘Didn't Cha Know ‘ and many others. This is a sublime landscape is notable for Ryo Kawasaki’s dreamy guitar work, Stone cold classic.  Both sides surprisingly have never graced the 7” format until now , absolutely essential 45.

The History 

” A Week of Sun, Fun and Musical Fantasy”

Since 1986 The RJS family have travelled all over Europe and the Caribbean, creating our very own brand of that Special London Raving Environment but in other countries with our own DJs Starting with RJS Ibiza in 1987.

We have entertained generations of ravers leaving our mark on the map in each country and will continue to do so!

The Process

Step One

You Purchase your entertainment pass from any of the RJS DJs, Reps or online at www.nwrworld.com in this post below. This pass is your entrance into all events and will be placed on you when you arrive in Gran Canaria

Step Two 

Book your Flight to Gran Canaria ( Las Palmas Airport). The dates are 16th – 23rd September 2013

(Bear in mind Hotels Check – in tends to be 2pm and Check – out tends to be between 10am and Midday. )

The first event begins at 11pm on the 16th Sept and the final event is the night of the 22nd Sept.

Step Three

Sort out who you are travelling and book your hotel from our travel agent VIP Travel who are based in Gran Canaria.

V.I.P travel have secured an RJS Group discount and will book you into the hotel the group will be staying at, working out much cheaper than purchasing direct.

Pass Info

Passes 

There are a limited number of passes available on a first come, first serve basis. Passes purchased are NON – Refundable or Exchangeable.

Passes are £200 for one week but are available at the discounted Early Bird rate of £175, if purchased before May 1st 2013.

A Limited weekend pass is also available for those unable to make the full week. This pass is for Friday 20th – Monday 23rd Sept only. This pass is

£100 but is available at the discounted rate of £75 if purchased before May 1st 2013.

The pass will include: Entrance into all RJS Events, Transfers to and from all RJS Excursions (not to and from airport). Free drinks Party till 2am on the first night, A 3 course meal at dinner & dance night plus the presence off all your favourite London entertainers.

The pass can be purchased in cash from any of the DJs or RJS Reps, You will need to fill in a booking form and then a Confirmation Email will be forwarded to you by email shortly after.

Las Palmas Airport is a 40 min journey from the hotel, so do make sure you arrange a Taxi or Transfer.

The Hotel

The group will be staying at the 3 Star Lopesan BuenaVentura hotel in Playa Del Ingles, which will be based on 2 people sharing twin beds (There is also an option for a 3rd person to share). You have an option to add Breakfast, Half Board or go All – Inclusive.

MJ Sly is one of the most accomplished DJs in the UK club scene having built a long-standing reputation for his versatility and technical ability. Renowned for dazzling crowds with his quick mixing and exclusive material, MJ has performed internationally as well as in almost every town/city across the UK.
 
 
An eclectic DJ, who has spent the past 15 years perfecting his skills and widening his musical knowledge, MJ has extensive experience DJ-ing at UK nightclubs and currently performs every Saturday at Club One, Ascot, England. From the underground to commercial, MJ Sly's ability to read a crowd and shape his set accordingly has seen demand for his time increase year on year.
 
 
The youngest of 3 brothers in a family of music lovers, MJ Sly has wide and varied music taste and from humble beginnings doing local house parties and community events, MJ kept up his appetite for DJing throughout his university years working with Warner/Atlantic records DJ-ing across the UK. During this time, he supported US Hip Hop artists Cassidy and Twista on tour, performed at Wales biggest dance music festival 'Escape into the Park' and mixed an album promotional CD for Jamaican Dancehall artist Cham of which 20,000 copies were distributed by Atlantic Records nationwide.
 
Having travelled the world doing shows in The Netherlands, Cyprus, Malta, Bahrain, Dubai, Miami and The Bahamas and supporting the likes of Kano, Lethal Bizzle, Wretch 32 and more, MJ Sly was recently invited to perform a guest mix for BBC 1Xtra and has secured bookings in Thailand and Dubai for 2020.

Timewarp Music is the premier record label for nu funk, dub, breaks, nu disco,  nu jazz & freestyle grooves in contemporary electronic music.
