L’iconografia dell’Appeso dei tarocchi trova le sue origini in una pratica penale in uso nel mondo comunale italiano tra il XIII e il XVI secolo: la pittura infamante. Attraverso l’opera di Gherardo Ortalli, scopriremo le origini e l’evoluzione di questa curiosa pena che portò ad addobbare gli edifici pubblici delle città italiane con immagini grottesche e offensive allo scopo di colpire i rei di alcuni delitti.

“Ho cercato di rifarmi a quello che mi è sembrato il periodo più luminoso e glorioso della storia del mio Paese, cioè il Rinascimento italiano fiorentino di epoca laurenziana.” Così la nota attrice e scrittrice Carlotta Wittig, raccontando a Radio Romania Internazionale l’esperienza del suo romanzo storico “Floridiana, la figlia del Rinascimento”, un libro ambientato nella Firenze dei Pazzi, pubblicato nel 2020 presso Chi Più Ne Art Edizioni e che si è già aggiudicato parecchi premi letterari. 
L’autrice ci presenta i personaggi Beatrice e Floridiana, madre e figlia, e i messaggi che trasmettono, e fa riferimento anche al potere e alle sue spine, un tema fondamentale del libro, che intitola anche una recente intervista rilasciata a Idalberto Fei. A sua volta, il noto regista e scrittore ha raccontato a Radio Romania Internazionale il suo incontro con Carlotta Wittig e le impressioni sul romanzo “Floridiana, la figlia del Rinascimento”.
