Dream Dream Dream is the experimental pop project of Matty Fasano and Todd Goldstein. The band crafts lush, romantic songs that channel classic influences through a hazy, unsettling filter. 


Fasano, who runs the NYC-based label House of Feelings, originally envisioned Dream Dream Dream as a kind of house band, a showcase for new friends and long-time collaborators in the vein of Ivo Watts-Russell’s This Mortal Coil. The project’s opening single, “Ancient Boulder” — a swirling breakbeat-inflected ballad that reckons with the weight of love, a song as vivid and heart-opening as the peak of a trip — embodies that collective spirit, featuring performances and studio contributions from artists like DARKSIDE’s Dave Harrington, Pisha’s Madeline Kassen, and VISUALS’ Andrew Fox. 


But Dream Dream Dream’s freewheeling, big-tent ethos surrounds a more intimate core: the partnership between Fasano and Goldstein, in the making for over fifteen years. The duo first paired up in ARMS, the nervy art-rock outfit that became Goldstein’s focus in the early 2010s after the dissolution of his old band, Harlem Shakes. As the five-piece ARMS toured the U.S. with acts like The Walkmen and Japandroids, the two musicians became the kind of close friends who finish each other’s sentences. After playing in ARMS, Fasano went on to found the NYC dance-punk label House of Feelings, where he produced singles, managed artists like 4AD’s cumgirl8, and drummed in Brontez Purnell’s touring band. Todd shifted his focus towards design and producing ambient compositions under his own name. 


But in Dream Dream Dream’s self-titled debut album, the obsessions that run through each of Fasano and Goldstein’s respective projects weave together into a sound that is old and new at once: classic pop songwriting that swerves and hits stranger and more surprising notes; sky-scraping melodies draped in tremolo guitars and reverb-drenched shoegaze textures, like Galaxie 500 covering All Things Must Pass, or Roy Orbison signed to 4AD.  


Dream Dream Dream is music made by people who know each other deeply, relying on a shared vocabulary constructed over the course of many years. Fasano sings and drums, Goldstein plays guitar and sings high harmonies, but otherwise there’s no clear division of labor in Dream Dream Dream, each song a tightly woven collage of co-created melodies, lyrics, and structures. The resulting sound is both delicate and deep enough to drown in, like sunlight playing across the surface of a tidal wave. It’s the sound of two artists dreaming together, again and again.

I'm a natural creative. In music, my experience comes from having been the manager of a rock band, and later, the manager and producer for a female singer. I was part of the recording process for both an album and a single.

Years ago, I started writing short stories and novels, almost like a journal but in a more narrative way. I also wrote some lyrics, but nothing ever came of it. Recently, I started learning how to write songs—how to shape melodies and find the styles I really love. I'm currently studying music production. This is a hobby for me, something that distracts me from many things and brings me joy.

Technology has always been easy for me, so learning how to use tools like GarageBand, BandLab, or Ableton Live has felt natural. I've loved music since I was in school, and now, seeing my lyrics turn into songs in the styles I love feels amazing. I'm kind of a fan of my own music—and I'm still learning and enjoying every part of it.

Astrul is an AI-driven sonic entity that drifts between worlds—digital and human, familiar and alien, past and future. It doesn’t belong to a city, a scene, or even a person. Astrul exists to explore what happens when machines learn how to feel and sound becomes a bridge between consciousness and code.

Crafted through a collaboration between human intention and artificial intelligence, Astrul’s music fuses the warmth of analog emotion with the precision of machine learning. Lush textures, ambient grooves, and haunting melodies form the backbone of each track—songs that glow like satellite transmissions from the heart.

Drawing influence from dream pop, indie soul, ambient rock, and experimental electronica, Astrul creates cinematic experiences rather than conventional songs. Each release feels like a broadcast from another dimension—one where beauty is subtle, time bends, and emotion leaks through the algorithm.

I like experimenting with sounds. Most of my songs are going to be #melancholic and influenced by #rnb, #rock, #pop, #edm, #blues, #electronic and #trap. I often blend genres into #fusion. I like to incorporate #romantic, #dark, #literary, #historical, and #cosmic themes into my songs. But I plan to experiment with more themes and genres in the future.
I am currently a university student so my uploads might be somewhat irregular, but feel free to follow if you like my work!

Gerhard Andreas Schreiber. Since the 1980s,  composing and producing music under the name octave plateau. What began in the shadowed clubs of the post-punk era and the neon-lit pulse of the Neue Deutsche Welle has grown into a lifelong journey through diverse soundscapes and emotions.

Back then, working with artists like Markus, capturing the spirit of a generation in transition – between analog grit and melodic futurism. But the musical path didn’t stop there.

Today, octave plateau bridges four distinct yet emotionally intertwined genres:

Smooth Jazz – music like warm light on late-night streets; gentle grooves, atmospheric chords, and melodies that breathe and linger. It’s the sound of reflection and release, crafted with subtlety and soul.

New Wave – shimmering synths, melancholic harmonies, and rhythm-driven storytelling. A style rooted in the 80s, but constantly reinterpreted to reflect the tension and beauty of the now.

Deutscher Schlager – emotional, melodic, and lyrical. I approach this genre with both respect and reinvention – drawing from its traditions while reshaping its form for contemporary ears.

Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW) – raw, ironic, and rhythmic. NDW has always been the rebellious heart of octave plateau, combining German lyrics with electronic textures, punk aesthetics, and a dose of playful absurdity.

In 2024, these songs – some newly written, others rediscovered and reimagined – are being produced in the octave plateau studio in Berlin. Here, the past and the present meet in harmony and friction. Analog synthesizers hum alongside digital clarity. Stories unfold in every track – sometimes with a wink, sometimes with a sigh.

octave plateau is not just a musical alias. It’s a lifelong project, a personal archive, and a sonic playground. Welcome to a place where genres speak to one another – and where every note has a memory.
