These Talks (from 1974 – 1997) encompass the topics of the relationship to the Spiritual Master, the principle of Attraction, what occurs in the death process, the fundamental error at the root of all seeking, the limits of conventional religion and scientific materialism, and more. 

Through the process of His Teaching-Work and Divine Self-Revelation, Avatar Adi Da established the Reality-Way of Adidam—the Way of the devotional and Transcendental Spiritual relationship to Him. During the years of His Teaching-Work, Avatar Adi Da spoke in the circumstance of gatherings with His devotees—because His Instruction was a very intimate process, undertaken face-to-face with those who were formally committed to the practice. At the same time, He would ask for His Discourses to be recorded, so that all those not in the room with Him at the time could benefit from it. To hear Avatar Adi Da’s voice speaking His Teaching Word is a great Blessing—for His voice is itself an agent of His Spiritual Awakening-Power. 

It becomes clear through listening to Avatar Adi Da speak that He does not offer you a set of beliefs, or even a set of Spiritual techniques. Avatar Adi Da simply offers you His Revelation of Truth as a Free Gift. If you are moved to take up His Way, Avatar Adi Da invites you to enter into an extraordinarily deep and transformative devotional and Transcendental Spiritual relationship to Him.

On April 20, 2001, gathered with a group of His devotees, Avatar Adi Da Samraj recited two essays that He had just completed within the preceding week: “Truth and Religion” (in which He examines the fact that no religion can claim to be the exclusive revelation or “owner” of Truth) and “The Self-Evident Falsity of the Search for Changelessness” (in which He describes the fruitlessness of the ego’s motive to attain a changeless state). 

In the Talk “There Is Only One Self-Evident Reality and Event”, Avatar Adi Da expands on the themes of the preceding two essays—by examining the Inherent Nature of Reality Itself (beyond body, thought, change, and presumptions of any kind). 

The two essays, along with the complementary Discourse Avatar Adi Da gave that night after His recitation, were adapted by Avatar Adi Da for inclusion in the Epilogue of His Text Eleutherios.

The Mudra indicated is the Mudra of Great Wraith or Chin Rang Yin in Chinese: : Mudra of Terrible Anger or Compassionate Rage also known as the "Twin Lock".  Most are erroneously familiar with only Yin and Yang but few understand or are even aware of the third component Rang.  Rang makes up a Synthetic universe that can be said encompass what can be said to be "Emotions".  The Mara's are distinct from the undisciplined emotions of the Asuras of which they emblazon as regalia as a testament to the inertia built up in the Astral realm as a consequence of desire for victory.  Hence Asura (Not Sun).  The Mudra of Great Wraith is ideally done over the head, with the wrists crossed and hands open or closed or the middle finger bent down and/or touching the thumb.  The hands are meant to face outwards, rather than inwards towards the body.  Done standing it is suggested that one leg is raised, usually the leg matching the hand on the outside.  So the outside arm can be swung down to strike the inside of the leg with the fist and then alternated.  Note: Crossing the arms in front of the chest will raise the blood pressure through stimulation of the Splanchnic Nerves.  Those that suffer from high blood pressure must make modifications by raising the elbows and tucking the fingers into the armpits.

Mahanidhi Madan Gopal Das Babaji Maharaja resides in Sri Radha Kunda, Sridhama Vrindavana. He is an Indian citizen with the legal name Mahanidhi Swami. In 1975, Srila Prabhupada accepted him as a student, naming him Mahanidhi Das. 

In December 2014, from 108 Pandita Sri Krishna Dasji Maharaja (vyakaran-vaisnava darshana tirtha), he accepted traditional Gaudiya Vaisnava sannyasa (babaji vesh). Out of respect for Prabhupada, who was Sri Krishna Das Babaji's Vrindavan friend in the 1960's, he named his new disciple Mahanidhi Madan Gopal das. His wonderful Prabhupada memories are in a book titled "Srila Prabhupada, A Friend to All” by Smt. Mula Prakriti Dasi. 

Babaji Maharaja lectures and writes on Gaudiya Vaisnava siddhanta, sadhana and sadhya. All are welcome to the weekly Sunday Satsangs 4-6 p.m. at the ashram. In the beginning, it was only about moving my body in a asana poses. There was the promise of something more though. Some part of me was drawn to the spiritual aspects of yoga and the framework it provided through ancient guiding principles to live more harmoniously in the world. The part that needed healing, and an abundance of love. The spirit inside me which had been longing for a way to express prayer, gratitude, self-love, and find faith enough to offer that love to others finally found her way.

I practiced yoga on my own for many years, first dipping my toe into online platforms, where I met my incredible mentor, Elena Brower, whom I study with to this day. Watching her teach was incredibly inspiring. I knew that I wanted to offer that level of love, care and dedication if I should ever teach. I immersed myself in yoga practice but after becoming injured a few times in asana practice, I was drawn more deeply to meditation and Jnana yoga (the yoga of knowledge and contemplation). 

In 2018, I longed to share and teach others all the practices I was learning and finally felt ready to take that next leap. I wanted to share the ways in which I eased my anxiety through breath work, asana, and most of all meditation practices. I threw myself into the fire in a 9-month intensive Spiritual Leadership Training program with David H. Wagner. I dove very deeply into learning about yoga philosophy, studying texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and Siva Sutras. We learned mantra, pranayama, visualization, breath work, and above all else how to love and serve others.

And finally, I found myself at the doorstep of Yoga Kula in Berkeley, CA, completing both the 200-hour and 300-hour Anusara Teacher Training program, guided by Saraswati Clere, an extraordinary film-maker, pod-caster, teacher,  studio owner, and human. Through our extensive training, I was lucky enough to learn from such yoga and meditation luminaries as Carlos Pomeda, teacher of yoga philosophy and history, using Tantric Shaivism and texts such as the Bhagavad Gita to apply to modern living. Other esteemed teachers in the program were Deane Johan on physical anatomy, Darren Rhodes on the art of teaching yoga postures,  Anodea Judith on the Chakras, Richard Rosen, and Bill Mahoney.
I participated in iRest training at Yoga Kula in 2023, receiving a Level 1 certification in guiding Yoga Nidra.

In my personal journey, I have found when we are contracted in anxiety, stress, anger and disconnected, it is hard for us to see love and be love. We are living in our limited selves, denying ourselves the very thing that will help us to flourish and shine. When we open ourselves up to love, when we stay receptive, and surrender, we become more expansive and luminous beings. 

I hope these recorded meditations will serve you well in your own healing and path.
