This is a song I wrote inspired by a painting in my living room by an artist named "Vetriano".  It's titled: Allegedly for a dead Admiral.  I was in my first home on my own after leaving my 20 year marriage.  The painting had a significant meaning in my relationship with my ex-husband.  We had a disagreement over the phone that night and as I hung up the phone, very frustrated, I looked up and saw that painting on the wall.  It's of a woman alone at a table on the beach surrounded by musicians.  It was a moment filled with irony for me at the time.  I wrote this song in 10 minutes.  It literally poured out of me.  I am honored to be joined by Ian Lamsom on slide guitar.

Bourbon Therapy is a SF-based indie rock band that blends elements of Americana and pop to create tunes that'll get your feet tapping.

MATT LANGLOIS aka Matt EL and The Welcome Matt, originally from New England turned longtime San Francisco resident has released 8 albums over the course of his transplant to the Bay Area. In 2012 he released his first compilation THE PANHANDLE YEARS featuring some of the best WELCOME MATT songs over the last decade, including the single “KARMA”. From 2009 to 2011 his musical brain child, MEMBERS OF SOUND, produced a song a month for 2 years, collaborating with many Bay Area musicians and an array of producers who have worked with artists such as, FOUR NON-BLONDS, DAN THE AUTOMATOR, TRAIN, THE COUNTING CROWS, FOSTER THE PEOPLE and GALACTIC. The Welcome Matt song “WAKE ME UP IN SAN FRANCISCO” has been featured on KFOG 104.5 and played at San Francisco Giants games in SBC Park. Another MEMBERS OF SOUND song “THAT I CAN DO “ made it’s way onto KFOG’s 2011 Music in Schools summer sampler, written and performed with local dance choreographer CHRISTINE CALI. He also recently earned co-writing credit on “IN SAN FRANCISCO” by German dance pop sensation “CASCADA” which reached Top 40 success in 4 different countries including #15 in Germany. Matt tours nationally several times a year and released his 8th cd as The WELCOME MATT POP JUNK FLUFF and HYPE in the summer of 2014.
Matt's newest incarnation "Matt EL" created to accommodate his continuing involvement in music for modern dance has already yielded seven itunes singles and solid praise throughout the music and dance community. Matt has composed and played live for San Francisco’s CALI & CO dance over the past four years, including MOVE THRU ME, C.O.M.A, S.T.O.R.M, L.O.A.D.E.D, SUSPECT, and You ARE HERE. He now holds the role of music director/composer for CALI & CO dance.
