Perfect Kombo has been a big time player in the breakbeat scene for many years now, originally winning the Best Breakthrough DJ award at the 2008 Spanish Breaks Awards. His sound is well defined, with releases on most of the major record labels such as FunkTasty Crew, Elektroshok, Spektra, Distortion, In Beat We Trust, and Empire Of Music to name a few. He also originally ran Selecta Breaks Records with Rasco, where together they formed the successful alias BreaksMafia.

Kicking off 2023 in style, we bring you our next guest mix episode from North Yorkshire's heavyweight breaks duo 601. These guys have an amazing catalog of tracks behind them with their most recent release 'Burn Them' out now on Breakbeat Connection LDN. 

Since 2009 601 has enjoyed releases and remixes on Noodles, Westway, Scarcity, Polar Red, Standard, Rub a Duck, Sub Slayers, Hot To Trot, Westway, Rocstar, Electric Tastebuds, Downbeat, Epidemic,Ape and many more. Over the years 601 have made national radio appearances on Jay Cunning’s Kiss100 Radio show and Radio 1’s Annie Nightgale show.

In 2011 601 launched their new Bass Music label “We Do Bass” and made Passenger their home with the release of their biggest selling releases yet the “Rockers” and “Heat” EPs as well as an EP for Sub Slayers titled “Raise it Up” which included the smash dancefloor hit “Rage” which caught the attention of DJs across the Bass Music styles from DJ Hype to Toddla T to Jaguar Skillz. The latter used “Rage” on his Ministry Of Sound Compilation in early 2012. That year saw 601 cementing their place in the scene with their biggest selling tune yet “Blackout”, again on Passenger, which mad a huge impact in many places across the globe, but none more so than the Breaks loving region of Southern Spain.

2013 saw the release of their new LP “We Do Bass”, their first for Passenger and an ambitious step forward for 601 who have collaborated with vocalists such as Ragga Twins, Madrush MC, Frilla and Roisin Brophy to attempt to make an LP that defines their version of the 140 Future Jungle sound that they have been best known for in the last 5 years whilst mixing it up with a few varied tempo grooves. In 2015 601 appeared on the Temple Stage at Glastonbury as one of the acts topping the Saturday night bill to a rapturous response.

601 are now making strides forward to try to make sure they leave their mark all over the UK and worldwide Bass Music scene as 601 once again set their sights on the live arena to promote their releases on Punks, Hot Cakes and Breakbeat Connection LDN and bring their sound to the masses.

A la temprana edad de 18 años este chico de la localidad gaditana de Chiclana de la Frontera ya sabía lo que era hacer bailar a más de 2.000 personas a la misma vez. Ha trabajado para las mejores promotoras de Breakbeat de Andalucía y ha compartido cartel y cabina con artistas de la escena Breakbeat y Drum & Bass conocidos mundialmente durante sus más de 13 años actuando en eventos.

A día de hoy pertenece a los bookings/colectivos de FunkTasty Crew y El Garaje; Ha actuado por provincias como Cádiz, Sevilla, Málaga, Córdoba, Huelva, Jaén y Granada actuando en las mejores Salas y Complejos de Andalucía.

En cuanto a sus Set's podemos verle tocando gran variedad de estilos, pero sin duda su especialidad y su estilo favorito es el Breakbeat tanto de estilo Actual como Retro, junto con sus variantes como el 2Step, Bassline... 

Podemos oirle también con otros estilos como el Drum & Bass / Hip Hop / Future House / Deep / Dub / Tech House / Dubstep...  

En 2020 y con sus 13 años en eventos y 16 de experiencia personal, podemos considerar a Norbak como un artista totalmente experimentado con media vida dedicada a ello.
