Born from the determination and energy of Glasgow, shaped by the rhythms of Central America, and perfected in the heart of Leeds, MAL_HOMBRE invites us on a extremely odd mission beyond the surface. This live set merges rhythms into shimmering, illuminated corridors, inviting us to complete ourselves. Textured rhythms and meditative loops intertwine with each beat, resonating like distant stars, while haunting and minimal changes keep you suspended on the edge of the unknown.

With wide transitions, oscillating textures, and enveloping low frequencies, this set pushes the boundaries while remaining rooted in the hypnotic core. ▸BIO: 

Mark Sweeney aka @https://soundcloud.com/malhombretechno is a Glasgow born techno DJ and producer who is based in Leeds, England. Having Dj under is own name for many years in Central America ignited the passion for producing the genre and creating the MAL_HOMBRE alias.

With a host of previous releases under his belt, in 2021 Mark released a total of 40 total tracks on various labels. It was this year he aslo released his first album “Andromeda outpost” on Jeff mills’ Axis records, being the first ever UK producer to release an album on the legendary techno.

With his music continually supported at big techno events by Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Joseph Capriati, Black lotus and Jeff mills was included in Dave Clarke’s top 10 producers for 2021.

Mark continues in 2022 with various other released lined up on Edit Select (4th time) and Illegal Alien from Mexico.

SYMBIOSIS is an exploration of the dynamic interaction between sound and visual art, recorded live in an abandoned warehouse. This project merges techno with the fluidity of visual expression, creating an immersive atmosphere where music and art coexist in harmony. As the music unfolds, two visual artists paint a canvas, capturing the energy and motion of the live set in real time. The result is a fusion of raw soundscapes and spontaneous artistry, blurring the lines between auditory and visual experiences.

Omar was born in Brussels in 1995. He recalls that his early steps were accompanied by the music his parents introduced him to, fostering a quick development of his musical ear. During his childhood, Omar explored funk and disco through playlists prepared for long car rides to the Mediterranean.
In adolescence, he delved into the world of Detroit techno, introduced by friends. He embraced this new realm without fully grasping its depth initially. Omar became interested in the underground culture and its history, viewing music as a sign of rebellion where he could identify and express himself.
Starting with his initial club experiences at Fuse and Rivers (Amsterdam), he soon found himself drawn to techno raves. He even had the opportunity to witness and transform DJ sets by artists like Freddy K, the legendary DVS1 in 2010, and Jeff Mills. In the following years, he expanded his musical horizon to include the works of Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann. The Berlin electronic scene became an undeniable influence, and his passion for this world, so different from his childhood, led him to express himself through the turntables.
In 2022, driven by his pursuit of perfection, Omar decided to enroll in a DJ school. He dedicated long hours, day and night, to refining his technique and playlist choices. Finally ready in 2023, the GAMI ONE project was born. Through this pseudonym, Omar aimed to preserve a part of his roots and his village, Gamiwen, in the Moroccan Atlas. The contrast between the warmth of the sand, the colors of the desert, and the coldness of Berlin's underground clubs gives his DNA its unique power.
GAMI ONE warms hearts with energetic techno melodies. During the summer of 2023, he performed at two notable venues: one in London and the other at Singlefin in Bali, captivating the audience. These shows fueled his desire to give his best, crafting sets that tell techno stories, each different but rooted in the same foundation: his origins and his unique vibe.
