Fruity 6 - Ride The Behemoth (TT 205)

"Dreaming of a better world" ...

29 track all vinyl mix of mostly Dutch Gabber/Hardcore with a brief UK abduction (as you might guess from the pic). The majority of records are 1996 releases with a dozen or so either side and the oldest tracks Chosen from '93. Bit of a trancey infused appetizer to start with followed by some tunes on the bouncier side of things before getting into the main dish. Tried to stay away as much as possible from any of the bona fide Technodrome anthems (still sneaked in a few classics) in favour of the more underplayed tunes which no doubt any tape pack trainspotters will pick out straight away.

Mixes are all vinyl only. Setup is a pair of turntables and basic no frills mixer... archaic certainly but I like to keep things simple :D

Been into Hardcore Techno/Gabber since '97 after getting a DJ Producer Dreamscape 23 tape and Bass Generator Hardcore Heaven Ravers Choice. Same year found a Thunderdome 1 -5 Megamix CD and discovered the Mokum series which is where my love for harder music began.

A few years later after listening to all the usual suspects found on any Technodrome lineup and events like Deathrow Techno, North etc, I started buying the tunes. Always favoured the acid laced Clarkee sets and Trance infused Dolphin ones but love all of them including "the Mu... the Mu... the Music Maker" for more 'outthere' Industrial/Speedcore stuff. Still have the same passion and level of enjoyment digging for tunes especially unsolved ID's and forgotten/hidden gems.

Subsequent years leaning towards Hard Acid & Acidcore for the more insanity inducing extreme 303's and generally darker atmosphere from the likes of Lasse Steen, Somatic Responses, Zekt, Agro, Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Labworks and the swamp-like-grungy acid on Cologne's DJ.Ungle Fever.
A soft spot for Mark EG, M-Zone & Vortex Hard Trance. Also the UK mish-mash Acid Trance/Hard-Nrg/Hard House sound... VCF, Choci's Chewns, Bosca Beats, Public House, Eve/Telica etc, Acid Techno - tend to stick to the 90's stuff I grew up with and Classic Trancecore - so a bit of everything really.

Much greater appreciation now for Techno/Trance & Acid spun by the likes of Aggressor, Warlock, Aztek, Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Mach 1, Trevor Rockcliffe, Daz Saund and Ribbz of course. I enjoy listening to these sets a lot more now that I'm older than I did the first time around and it opens up a whole new world of tunes to hunt down.

DJ/Producer been spinning vinyl records since 2004 , after playing a short time on beltdrived turtables i have bought me 2 Technics sl1210's. 
I have started with early rave, hardcore, retro, trance, 90's, new style and later frenchcore, tekno and techno, etc.
A couple of years later i added 2 pioneer cd'js (without usb and sync option) and later bought me the Pioneer RX2 controller and replaced that one with the Pioneer XDJ-XZ. 
Nowadays i am experimenting with much more music styles.
I have played on rave party's both legal and illegale , but also on Birthday's and wedding party's etc.  
Im looking forward to expand this in the future.

Fruity 6 was founded in 2002 by the swiss party organizers "666 Hardbeat Freaks" as live-project for own Events when their DJ team "Diazepam Crew" had already been booked several times.
With their powerfully crazy style they inspired events such as "Starfuckers" (Bologna - ITA), "FrightNight" (Munich - GER), "2 Hard 4 U", "D-Boy Invasion in Switzerland" and many more.
First releases followed in 2003 on "SCUM Records" and 2005 on "Kopfkrank Records" before they disappeared more than a decade, as if they had never existed.
They returned in 2019 with releases on "Speedcore Worldwide", "Gutter Cvnt", "Splitterkor Rekords Dziwko", and "Warnsystem Recordings".
