A reading of Edgar Allan Poe's poem The Raven.

This is a narrative poem by Edgar Allan Poe, that tells the story of a man who is mourning the loss of his lover, Lenore. Late at night, he is visited by a mysterious raven, and he begins to converse with the bird. The man asks the raven a series of questions about the afterlife and the possibility of being reunited with Lenore. The raven's repeated response of "Nevermore" becomes a haunting refrain throughout the poem, adding to the man's despair.
