Troisième volet de la série Boom Bap Session, BBS 003 continue de creuser dans les fondations solides du hip-hop : le boom bap, cette rythmique sèche, carrée, qui fait hocher la tête, toujours accompagnée de samples soul ou jazzy et de rimes aiguisées comme des lames.

Dans ce mix, je t’embarque pour un voyage transatlantique, entre les classiques cultes des années 90 et les héritiers d’aujourd’hui qui gardent le flambeau allumé. On y croise NTM et leur Come Again version 1996, une collaboration fantasmée entre 2Pac & Biggie sur un remix brut, l’élégance de Bahamadia, et l’énergie brute de Das EFX, Keith Murray ou encore RZA, Cappadona & Method Man sur l'iconique Wu Wear.

Mais le boom bap n’a jamais quitté le terrain : en 2024, Everliven Sound ou Amadeus 360 feat. M.O.P. & Ras Kass prouvent que le son est toujours vivant, nourri par la rue, les samples, la sueur et le style.

Côté FR, Ärsenik, Rocca, Shurik’n, Kery James, ou Hamed Daye livrent des textes denses, poétiques, parfois violents, toujours vrais. Un pan entier de notre mémoire rap.

C’est plus qu’un hommage : c’est un dialogue entre les époques, une preuve sonore que le boom bap est intemporel.

This mix takes you on a transatlantic ride, connecting the golden era’s heavyweights with today’s torchbearers. From NTM’s Come Again, to a rare 90s remix of 2Pac & Biggie, to the smooth flows of Bahamadia, and the raw grit of Das EFX, Keith Murray, and the mighty Wu-Tang alumni with Wu Wear — it's a celebration of the boom bap sound.

But the session doesn’t stop in the past. In 2024, artists like Everliven Sound, Amadeus 360, M.O.P. and Ras Kass are still pushing that sound with fire and authenticity.

On the French side, legends like Ärsenik, Kery James, Rocca, Shurik’n, and Hamed Daye bring street wisdom, poetry, and truth over beats that still resonate through the blocks.
