#006 Off World - 05.12.22 - Jolt Radio

Ancient Sines is a collaboration between Mike Sike and Billy Shane, born out of the Covid-19 pandemic. Living over 1000 miles apart, the project began with Zoom calls between the two friends during the harsh times of the 20/21 winter. After many conversations reminiscing about their DJ’ing escapades in the '90s and their shared love for the IDM/Illbient music of that time, they found themselves inspired to create music together again after an almost 20-year hiatus. 

In July 2021 they released their first EP, since their reunion, on their Sines Records label to critical acclaim with support from many top DJ’s and they are hard at work with two more EP’s in the pipeline. In December 2021 they started a monthly radio show called Offworld on Miami’s Jolt Radio airing every second Thursday of the month at 8pm. The focus of their music and DJ sets these days is still rooted in early 90’s ambient house/techno music and creating otherworldy danceable sets steeped in atmosphere!
