A vintage recording from 2009 captured on TDK cassette with a Marantz field recorder at Barbas River Canyon (Quindio), documenting a remarkable moment of Andean wildlife. The analog warmth perfectly preserves an active Andean Cock-of-the-rock (Rupicola peruvianus) lek display, while the rich atmospheric backdrop includes the distant roars of Red Howler Monkeys, the distinctive calls of Ruby Poison Frogs, and the melodious song of the Crested ant tanager. This vintage recording captures the rich biodiversity of a well-preserved Andean montane forest.

Andean cock-of-the-rock

A nostalgic recording captured on vintage TDK cassette tape at Cocora Valley preserving the raw, analog warmth of nature's symphony. The gentle hiss of the tape adds a unique character of birdsong, and forest ambience.

Electropop duo created in the suburb of Naples in Italy, Kōmeta is a musical encounter of restorer
Valentina Russo (vocals, synth, lyrics, graphics) and biologist Diego Cardone (guitar, lyrics,
programming, graphics / ex musician & producer of Funereum, Rain against the sky, Unactulaz, Crop
Rotation, Dʼbeachfools, Kinetic, Hapax ‒ current producer of the NloolN/Lynch project).
A logbook of a journey to the East and to the 80s, starting from Naples and a cinematic vision of the
song form. Songs like spaceships in search of those points of balance and introspection that can be
found at the center of a dancefloor or at the edge of a metropolis, in an unadorned room or a crowded
street. Kōmeta is the deep, held breath, the suspension of the ordinary, the indication that it is always
time to share and embark on the search for beauty.
