Somehow we’ve made here, to the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Black Panther.

Chadwick Boseman reprises his role as T’Challa / Black Panther from Captain America: Civil War in this solo outing from director Ryan Coogler. The supporting cast is flawless – Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.

Following the events of Civil War, and the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When an old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s place as king and Black Panther is tested. Furthermore, the young king’s title is challenged by a long lost member of the royal blood-line.

Does it live up to the hype? Or is Black Panther just a bit of filler before Avengers: Infinity War?

Australian born DJ Lipgloss started her career in 2012 as a young woman of colour with a love for music like no other. Her passion began with learning the roots of Hip-Hop and R&B through Jazz, Soul & Funk music. In recent years, she expanded her style into mixing fusion beats including Bollywood, Bhangra, Reggaeton, Dancehall & Afrobeats. 

DJ Lipgloss prides herself on representing melanated people and loves bringing her culture to the decks. She’s taken to the streets with a flavour second to none, playing in some of the hottest clubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Darwin & Gold Coast.
