Kooks Dan’o is the stage name of American singer‑songwriter Daniel S. Passarini.  Based in Johnstown, Colorado, he describes himself as “just a guy, writing & recording music in his home studio.” Since 2021 he’s self‑released a prolific catalog of albums and singles, including Landings (2021), Elements of Past Static Debris (2022), Songs for Lulu, Terra Firma, Single Track Mind, and Islands of Ataraxia (all 2023). His sound blends rock, country, indie and folk‑singer‑songwriter styles, with introspective lyrics and intimate home‑studio production.

Kooks Dan’o’s catalog is built around intimate, guitar‑centered songs that pull from a mix of folk, country, indie and rock, often with a lo‑fi, “bedroom” production aesthetic and deeply introspective lyrics. After a nearly two-year break, Kooks Dan’o has three projects currently lined up and in the works: two unique concept albums, as well as a “Live at Home” acoustic performance album with accompanying video series. Look for these projects to be available sometime in 2026 and/or 2027.

Since I was a kid I’ve always had love for expressing myself  through physical action and words; with my actions....I live!  With my words...I made music! That’s when you guys came along. Music came naturally to help me put my feelings into words and express myself a lot. Plus it’s probably the most fun hobby I have anymore. It helped me live my life comfortably amused. Music is so much deeper than any of us ever think and I try to learn how to use it as a tool to help myself as well as others. Life’s a little better when people want to help others. So no one ever feels alone, unwanted, betrayed, or underestimated. There’s a genre/sound/vibe for everyone. I want to provide as much as that as possible. Plus, the grind gives me ground to walk on. It’s what I love to enjoy. I also dearly love everyone and anyone that decides to enjoy my music, no matter the versatility. Thank you.
