This song saved my life.  

Back in 2011, I was dealing with lot of mental health issues while facing trauma head on, and listening to Mac Miller's song 'Best Day Ever' on repeat kept me from letting depression take full control over me.  I'll never forget a specific moment when I was sitting in my car at the park I used to hang out at and I was feeling the most alone I had ever felt at the time.  I was fighting with my parents, all of my friends were ghosting me, my grades were slipping, and all around, I didn't know why I was on this earth in the first place.  

But I put on 'Best Day Ever'...

The positivity in the words of that song, after listening to it over and over, turned my depressed tears into happy ones and I began thinking about all the good that I have accumulated in my life.  All of the happy moments that have passed, and all of the happy moments that I hope to come fill my mind and at that moment, I was not going to let depression beat me.  
I'm glad I am still here.  My life is a gift that keeps on giving and I wouldn't ask for anything to be changed.  

If you are still reading this, thank you and I love you so much!  You are LOVED and APPRECIATED! I wanted to put my own spin on the song to bring out the emotion that it brings, while also the happiness it brings as well!

Over the past year I have worked on this reimagining of Mac's live performances. I fixed the audio from the live studio and cell phone recordings of 8 of his best live performances. There are some added layers of quotes from Mac himself. As someone who never got into his studio records this was a whole new way to fall in love with the musician he once was. In my opinion he was one of the best live performers of our time.
